A quick question to craftersFollow

My question is regarding the repairing of equipment in other peoples bazaars. Two questions, first do you have to use your own materials or is it pulled from their inventory. Secondly, what do you prefer when making a repair. Would you rather have money, shards, or a crystal as payment?

Thanks in advance.

Preferred payment of Repair services rendered.
Gil :17 (50.0%)
Shards :5 (14.7%)
A Crystal :6 (17.6%)
Pizza & Beer :6 (17.6%)
Total:34

That's understandable.

The repair items are pulled from the crafter's inventory.

I voted Gil, but of course I expect at least 20% over the cost of the repairing materials, I have seen many people asking for brass gladius repairs in 1k... - -;

Honestly, I think that the only reason they are withholding shards right now, is because they need to level. Once people obtain a high enough skill that they no longer value shards as more important than gold, then I think it will calm down.

It's like every other game when something new happens. A patch, or addition of new content. Whatever is needed for that content/craft is inflated in price, and then after a couple months it goes back to normal. It's just that, on launch, it's every single thing in the game. And what does every single thing in the game need right now? Shards and Crystals.

Without an auction house, it's going to take a lot longer to calm it down. There's only so many people you want to sift through their 'browse' for, to find that item... Eventually you just give up and go level a craft to do it yourself :) I say, we wait to see what happens, and the LS' that build their own gear, are the ones that are going to be better off later on.

Hard currency for me. That way, I can decide what to do with my reward, be it buy shards, materials, throw on the floor to distract the guards and get another codex page...

Raw gil gives me the choice to do what I like :) It is most flexible and probably easier on my clients instead of having to faff around with shards/mats.

You have to use your own materials to fulfill someone else's repair request. Since you can put items up as payment for a repair, you can offer the repair materials as payment, but those will have to replace what the repairer used.
