Possible to Resell Used Equipment?Follow

Is it possible? I noticed I wasn't able to bazaar my old equipment after moving out of the lvl range so I ended up vendoring it. Is it possible that equipment becomes untradable after a player equips it? Or is it just that equipment has to be repaired to 100% status before it is able to be sold? That blows if you can't sell your old equips ><

As long as you repair it first and its not marked untradable, you can resale.

unfortunately the npc repair isnt enough which i found out trying to sell a piece of gear i upgraded costed like 12ish k for npc repair just to find out it has to be in "Mint" condition to resell in bazaar meaning id have to pay someone like 20k for the dodo or whatever thing and then find someone to repair it. and ater all that id have spent 2x the gil i spent to buy the chest piece and would never be able to sell it at 2x what everyone else is charging just to break even.. so i just put it in my retainer another gil sink

seriously everything in this game is a gil sink.. a major major gigantic gilsink.. and making a million gil from farming and selling doesnt help when you spend 100k+ in repairs or the entire mil if u want 100% repairs

~ Galka, you're doing it wrong. NPC only repairs to 75%, which isnt enough to sell the item. But until you start getting gear in the late 20s or 30s the repair cost is cheap. The hard part, assuming you cannot repair it yourself, is finding someone else willing to do it. I have best results by going to the guild of the class in question and asking the people leveling said trade there. You shouldnt be spending anywhere near the NPCs value in your repairs.

you pretty much said what i said.. to clairify

i had a lvl 21or so chest piece which i upgraded to a lvl 27 even though im only 25. the char in my sig is my alt i just do regional leves with

anyway when i repaired it thru npc i paid the ton of gil i didnt realize when i did that it still wasnt good enough to sell i though the npc repair i should be able to bazaar it

it was only after i repaired it i found out i needed 100% repair and as i said the mats are crazy expensive in bazaars then you still need to find someone to repair it

so in the end it would have costed me much more to repair it to 100% so i could bazaar it then what i paid for the piece of armor thus meaning id lose gil so i just tossed it in my retainer to hold onto for when im leveling another job that can use it

iirc its a maurauder bronze chainmail or something like that for lvl 21 which can also be used by gld and a few crafting jobs but not much else so when/if i ever lvl glad. which as a marauder main maybe i will someday then i can reuse that chestpiece.

the only reason i dont lvl glad atm is cause i havent upgraded my pc yet and my laptop has far too much lag to effectivly tank whick i know is what ill be doing when i lvl glad

Getting your gear repaired isn't _that_ bad. You just have to unequip it, got into your inventory window, click on it then click 'seek repairs'. Offer some reasonable amount of gil (2k-5k) depending on repair materials and just ask for repairs by the repair NPC where all the crafters gather. You don't need to find materials or anything; it uses the crafter's.
