This was on the front page of The Lodestone. I'd noticed it a few days ago, but didn't actually read all the way to the end. Exactly what risky damage or losses might I incur here on Zam? Inquiring minds need to know these things. :D

Introducing FINAL FANTASY XIV Fan Sites (09/30/2010)
The following are a handful of the fan-made, fan-driven sites featuring FINAL FANTASY XIV:

- Eorzeapedia
- FFXIV ZAM
- FFXIV Core
- Prime's Rookie Guide for FFXIV

Players must visit these sites at their own risk. Square Enix does not regulate the content of the aforementioned sites and will not be responsible for any damage or losses resulting from their viewing.

They're probably just referring to key loggers and such. Zam is pretty good about not letting that happen, but other FFXI websites were known to be infested with them.

That is just a standard disclaimer. Since SE doesn't have any control of the external websites they need to say they are not responsible if you receive a virus.

I remember all the sites with viruses etc, it just struck me as funny considering Alla is a 'chosen official' site. You'd think being official meant that SE trusts them to police their own site, and not have to put out disclaimers worded that precise way.
Eh...

If you get a virus by clicking on a link they aren't responsible

I'm not touching that one. Literally, if I found it, no way.

It's not "official." Nowhere does it say it's "official". It's simply a helpful link--"if you want some sites about FFXIV, here are some that look good."
