i skimmed a thread somewhere about people not getting the proper SP in the log when in parties.

I just noticed, after several hours of solo grinding, that only the SP i receive at the end of a fight actually gets added to my total. None of the SP from hits on the mob counts.

I felt like i wasnt gaining SP as fast as i should be and sure enough when i checked on the menu, none of the SP generated from random hits on the mob were getting tallied.

pretty effing weak, SE.

SP shown at the end is the total for the fight. Don't know why they did it this way but I don't think it's a bug...

The SP you are getting during fight are not added to your total SP immediately but only after defeating the monster (or group) you have been fighting. The SP shown at the end of the fight is the total of your skillups during the fight, as already been said above.

Yeah, leveling in this game just takes FOREVER. It's no bug. I just can't continue on after rank 20. Soloing is torture, and trying to get a party together is worse. I'll come back when they fix partying.

This is the boat Im in, I can be fighting Red mobs and kill them np but yeild very little SP's and it just feels like slow torture. I do not play MMO's to solo either and since no ones partying cause its broken well then the game is finally getting to me.

I tried to bare with it but its just becoming repetitive to the point I cant bare to play it, lack of mobs and mob variety, lack of partying, boring same old leve quests that are even more boring to me.

The fact that some close friends are already quitting or at the end of the month theres just not a lot of motivation to play anymore.

Hoping for miracle patch as I was really looking forward to this game after playing XI for so long so I'll still pray they can still fix/add things.

I'm pretty sure they aren't split, rather you only get shield points if you... get shield points (by getting hit)

It's not a bug, it's a feature. You don't get the SP generated from hits when you hit. They are saved up and given to you when the mob dies, at which point it reports to you how many SPs you got. If you parsed your output, you'd see that the SP award you got when the mob died equals the sum of all the SPs gained from your hits. Admitted, it is reported somewhat confusingly, so it's only natural that you got confused by it.

I think they did this as a counter-measure for people who would exploit harder mobs near camps.
All a player would have to do is this:
1) Drag a cockatrice/goat from south of Camp Drybone, to Camp Drybone.
2) Attack 2-3 times and die
3) Return, and keep attacking
4) Repeat from step 2

This would be a near unlimited supply of skill points if they gave you the skill points automatically, rather than at the end of fights.
