now im not gonna name names here cause any avid mmo'er who has played at least 4+mmo's not counting ffxi or ffxiv knows this
almost every successful MMO there is has one thing in common.
a PTS or Public Test Server.
and why does this help these mmos to succeed well for 1. it lets the players know when something good is coming... aka an AH or a fix to a nerf or even a future nerf.
mail system ect ect. thus taking the guess work of "maybe" this will be fixed ect
now we all know the #1 mmo has this but as i said anyone who has played more then 4 also knows pretty much every successful mmo has this including the free ones with a cash shop
(oh and believe me i have no doubt in my mind ffxiv may become a f2p with a cash shop like DDO and LOTRO did as they already have the Crysta system in place which SCREAMS "Cash shop")
but yeah perfect world... pts coh/cov... pts wow... pts almost every one of the top 20 mmos listed on mmorpg.com.. all have PTS
if we had a pts and there fore knew what was going to be added in the next week or two alot of people would be much happier and this also works on the opposite end of the spectrum.. people who absolutely HAVE to have certain things such as an AH ect could save their money by canceling their accounts then reactivate when an AH shows up on PTS. instead of just giving up on this game entirely.. its win freakin win
edit mucho typos
