From SE about releasing a game on schedule rather than properly implemented? Yes i think most of us are waiting for that reply indeed.

Yeah, wating for SE to say they were wrong maybe.

If SE coming out and saying that they screwed up and that they released the game too early would be a PR disaster, this whole "don't review our game yet!" and "we actually MEANT for there to be no AH!" stuff is a PR apocalypse.

I really just want them to say something like 'we thought we would have more of this taken care of by launch and we didn't, so here's a timeframe we're looking at for X and X and X.' they did say they were going to try to be more responsive, so I don't think that's asking too much to keep paying for a service.

and Bush said he was going to create jobs.

...i fail to see any new job markets opening up~

people can say one thing, and do the complete other. when SE starts being more responsive and talkative, then they can get our money.

Well..someone is going to be wrong. Either SE comes out and gives us things they originally said they wouldn't(admitting they were wrong) or we are wrong thinking they are going to change anything.

Chances are its going to be somewhere in the middle, still favoring SE.

i remember back in the spring at some convention a SE developer getting on the Video and claiming we need you the players to get this game up and running for us though the Beta, well i remeber the open beta being short and no way to report game issues to them, so whoever that was obviously talking out there ***. If anyone can find that statement that guy made plaese post up on here.

I'm pretty sure SEs been watching too much 300. "Give them nothing! But take from them, everything!"

SE Developers: The fanbase looks thirsty..
SE: Then lets give them something to drink! To the cliffs! *Adds in more marmets*

i think the least they can do is extend our trial untill things have been sorted. that way if they dont sort it we aint payed apart from the actual game its self which cost £35. but then again ive brought loads of games that ive liked and completed in 1 day (waste of £40) or i hated it (wasted £40)

How dare you actually suggest something that would be considered as "nice" or "caring" from SE?!. More importantly, something may benefit the game and it's community! How dare you!!!!

I joke - a nice idea. Shame that's all it is....a nice idea.

Not to make this a political discussion, as I am distinctly in the middle of the political spectrums, but to be fair and to promote truth not spin I have to say this: huh?

In 8 years, the government under the Bush administration created around 5 million jobs. In 2 years the government under the Obama administration has lost nearly all those jobs. A figure of around 4.1 million. Which is funny to me since Obama can say without lying that he "saved" 1 million jobs. But that doesn't change the fact that his administration has destroyed in 2 years what was created in 5. In fact, the government under the current administration has lost more jobs than any other administration since the BLS began taking records (1940). Sorry, but I just can't see the validity of your statement.

Bush wasn't the best of presidents, but truth is truth. Figures such as 7.7% unemployment vs 10.1% unemployment just can't be ignored. Spun, yes, ignored, no.

Anyway, back to the bickering amongst yourselves, minions. Entertain me.

So? Does SE care about what you just posted?
#16CassiusOS, Posted: Oct 07 2010 at 2:35 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) The first few months? Really? It's been 2 years. How long is long enough before an administration should be held accountable for itself? And spending and national debt have gone up, not down in the last 2 years. All of last year I (and this is my opinion, not to be reflected upon the general public's opinion) gave this administration a free pass. I said, hey, (hey!), The last year and a half have been hard. Do what you guys think is best and I hope it works. I can honestly say that right now things economy wise are worse than they were then.

I'm not sure. Maybe? We've never talked about it. To be honest, there's no more love in our relationship, and we sleep in different rooms. We only stay together for our kids FFXI and FFXIV. SE was never any good in bed anyway. It was always, "mmmm and ahhh" in that flat, dead voice. *chokes up* SE doesn't know how much that hurt me. *cries*

I think some of you dilutional fans out there think we
Wanted this game to suck.... alot of us went out and specifically
Upgraded our computers for this game, spent extra money on
the collectors edition, then wasted a week trying hard to like
This pile of ****.

I would love nothing more than for SE to finish this game, correct
The bugs, and make it fun. As it stands now its just a really bad
game with good graphics.

As much as I wanted to love this game I couldnt. Excuse me for
wanting to play a quality game and getting ripped off.

I won't apologize, as it was a pretty vague topic to begin with. But I will commend you for it turning out to be a fairly interesting read amid the sea of polarized crap. Kudos!

On a side note, the political discussion actually has some interesting parallels with this FFXIV experience. But I'll leave that up to the thoughts of the people reading.

The recession started in 2007. All of the actual market growth under Bush was just a bubble that got destroyed in the housing market. There hasn't been any actual improvement in the dow, he actually left office with it in worse shape than when he came in. Contrast with Clinton who came in with the DJI at about 3k and left (even despite the dotcom bubble bursting) with it at 10.5k. Obama entered the presidency following a month where we lost just shy of 800,000 jobs, and since then there has been a steady increase in employment for about a year. It gets more complicated once you add the Census employment into the equation, but that's where it's at now. Private sector employment has been making net gains of jobs for about 10 months now.
