Sweet, I will now be able to type more then 3 words at a time while crafting.

You could fit three words? You must be a very fast typer!

I never said they were spelled correctly

Ha! This is another one that caused me to LOL at work. I'm afraid it tips off the other employees that I'm having fun, i.e. not working.

Sodux - he wasn't talking about the countermeasures taken for sp, he was talking about the division of exp. Skill Points are for class, Experience Points are for physical level. They're two totally different things.

Fortunately both were adressed in the patch, exp is now distributed to members who don't actually hit the mob (meaning you can heal, buff, or be attacking another enemy in the group) and sp is hopefully fixed to make sure you get what it said you get in a party. But they didn't increase the rate at which you get SP unfortunately >.>

I understood what he was talking about. I stated SP is like FFXI...

If you don't hit the mob, cure, etc. don't expect any points. The points again in "theory" are based on individual performance not party performance. The performance for party ties into your PL (Physical Level) not Job Rank (your training your character in that specific job... why get paid for not doing it?)

Right but the problem that they (maybe) fixed with SP was that people in groups WERE attacking and WERE seeing SP gains, but at the end of battle they didn't receive it. They didn't patch in something for people to get SP when they aren't attacking, I don't think anyone said that at all >.>

nice, weekly updates.

things fixed this update:

1. improvement to chat
2. improvement to party play
3. minor to serious bugs

next week:

1. market system improvement

keep up the good work SE, soon people will have to revert to how a butterfly is the strongest mob in the game and not a wtfbbq dragon as their only complaint

Please stop. LOL

SE - "Countermeasure for people not gaining SP after battle" = What you just said, which is not what you tried to debate.

However..

Am I just too high or... Are those 2 options exactly the same thing

If taken literally, the key difference between before/after is that the notes said previous it divided the total XP, where now it says it distributes the XP.

This seems to say a 1000 xp mob will be worth 1000 xp to everyone, no matter how many people fight it.

Still, this isn't a big improvement for me, since this has nothing to do with skill points.

Do you actually know how SP works? It's basically in "theory" the same as skill ups in FFXI.

Your not going to et SP every hit or after every kill. Based on what they stated they addressed the issue where you wasn't getting SP at all when the game was telling you you was.

Actually this is referring to the EXPERIENCE POINTS patch. The one you quoted in your most recent post (the one you respond to in this post as well) was not what he was originally discussing. I was just trying to point that out.

Edit to further clarify: Experience Points (referenced in the first SE quote here) is Physical Level. Skill Points (which after quoting people talking about Experience Points you started talking about) is Class Rank. An upgrade was made for Experience Points (SE - "Instead of dividing a total number of experience points by the number of players who participated in the battle, it now distributes the total amount of experience points equally amongst all players in the party") and one was made for Skill Points (SE - "Implemented a countermeasure for an issue which prevented players from gaining skill points during battle."). I was just trying to point out they were discussing the Experience Points. Not Skill Points.

Didn't I already say I knew that...? I was referring to his SP comment...I thought it was obvious since the only thing I talked about was SP and didn't change it up ever. I quoted his entire thing cause I didn't want to edit their quote.

I'll stop here. SMH

From what i understand you don't actually get the skill points it says you get until the monster dies. It adds up the skill points you got during the fight and then gives them to you as soon as the monster is killed. Its my understanding that this update will give you the skill points immediately instead of waiting until the monster is killed to add them up and give them to the player.

I think they should still give players some sort of bonus SP once the monster is killed to provide an incentive to win other than not dying...
