LOL I hated this thing when I first got it but now I have fallen in love with it. I remeber looking at it when I opend the CE box and thingking WTF! I threw it to the side knowing that would be the last I ever saw of it and went on to the inportant stuff like installing the game. Then I took a second look at it and thought ok Ill record my first thoughts of the game here it mite be cool to look back at them later on.

So as the game Started up I started recording my thoughts in this nice lil book. And almost from the start I started writing all of this as if I was Sethern The bold advencher Set off for fame and fortion. Now I cant put the **** thing down. Every time something hapons in the game I write about it. Every quest Iv done is recorded in detail in this book. Every pice of Gear I own every item Iv sold. Its like my onw personal story/guide book. Friends ask me what to do in this or that Quest and all I have to do is look in this hand book and there is the anser.

I never thought I would get into something like this but I cant stop writing in this **** book. anyone else finding they enjoy the journal alot more than they tought they would?

While I love journals, the quality of the CE journal is, well, crap. Binding is too stiff, paper is cheap quality. I keep a moleskine journal on my desk for such things, and its a much better journal than the CE one could ever be.

If you spell in your journal like you do online, I hope you don't let anyone you know read it.

I use my journal for recipes.

I copied all of the lodestone recipes down in it.

Very handy to keep by your side.

I hear if you throw it in the fire, you can faintly hear the cries of Tanaka.

If by that you mean fits of laughter all the way to the bank.

I love it, but I don't want to write in it. Smiley: lol I can never decide what I want to use these things for and I'm afraid to write something in it and then change my mind.

I mostly use a regular 8.5"x11" notepad to jot most of my things down on, but information that I want to retain as "permanent" I transfer into the journal.

The first page contains all my SE ID and password info, all of my registration codes, etc. I then copied down my character creation information. Then specific recipes that I know I will repeat often, I've recorded those.

I do like it a lot, just wish it were a little bit bigger.

My NA Journal I would have no issues writing in, my EU one though... no way. It's got color pics on each page. For notes currently I'm using Word since SE was nice enough to give us windowed mode. However once/if I can get my temps down on my GPUs (temps aren't bad really, but I don't prefer the fan noise that comes with them) I'll write on my giant pad of SCII paper that was pointless for that game.

I think I'm on page six of mine now. Im starting to think I have more fun with this than the game. I just spent 6 hours writing down the names of every NPC I think mite have a quest later on and what makes me think that. Lol it's funny how something you make fun of at first becomes your best friend.

I saw the post about my spelling. Sorry that stuff dose not bother me. But that is one of the things that shocks me. How can a guy who can't spell cat fall in love with a journal? Oh well back to finding new things to write in it.

I will agree that the binding of the journal is a bit stiff, the paper quality i find to be enjoyable as im not overly worried that I will loose pages at a later time due to them just wearing out. As for use I have mainly been writing down different reciepies that I will be using or have been using frequently.
