anyone can use any class now and thats just so lame. i mean it aint fair going college or uni for a few yrs to earn your new skilled job just to find out that anyone can get that job.

all you have to do on this game is by the weapon and you get the job now i just dont feel great about my thm class. ive seen loads of con jobs using my thm skills and i think its unfair. do you see santa claus doing a strip dance for his job?

Why is it we never have forum members who don't speak English as their first language make valid points? They always seem to be complete idiots.

Santa Claus could become a stripper if he equips the appropriate weapon. I think it's called "G-String".

The armory system is one of the few great things about this game. When you use abilities from other classes, they are weakened compared to the original class, longer cooldowns, etc. You should probably read up on it a little more though not everything is known yet and it is understandable since SE doesn't explain it completely.

tl;dr: Working as intended.

Think about starting up a new class as going back to college. That's why you can't join the guild until rank 20. If you have a BA in English, and then decide to go back and get a BS in Physics, you're not gonna be great in Physics to start, but your lab reports will be pretty darn good.

Then once you get to Rank 20, you have your degree and can go get your job. At least that's the way I look at it in relation to your metaphor.

No, I understand what you're trying to say. The thought you put out there is what I'm calling stupid.

as the person above and your reply i understand then but i just see it as a cure/revive skill is a mages job only so it would be stupid for a warrior to be able to revive someone.

Its actually worse than that. He's saying that people of an international persuasion, despite their difficulty with English, are idiots and don't have anything intelligent to say.

I'm not sure what that even has to do with your post since it doesn't seem to me like you're a 'foreigner'.

He's just a racist pig.

A WAR in FF XI could use cure. There's not much difference between the sub job system and the armory system really. The few differences are that you don't have to run to mog house to change, and you can still equip abilities that are higher than half your level.

I like to think of it as a "Make your own class" system. Since there is no Paladin you could take up Gladiator and some healing spells from Conj/Tha and make one. You could take debuffs/nukes and make a battle/RDM. You can have an Archer that can slow/bind/debuff enemies.

Like I said though, the abilities lose some potency when used by other classes. Healing/buffs can't be AOE'd by DoW, cooldowns are increased, damage decreased, etc. You may also have to split your stats to make these extra abilities more useful which takes away from your "Main".

It has a lot of potential and is far from broken in my opinion... yet.

I do agree with that, certain things are jobs for certain people. But at the same time, Disciples of War have very limited access to regaining MP, so they won't be doing much of it. However, there is a big difference there with the vision of SE. They want well-rounded adventurers I guess.

SE wants ff14 to be as realistic as possible. If you learn cure and second wind you can use them both whenever on which ever because your character has learned it. If you get a job as a dishwasher then switch to an accountant you still know how to wash a dish XD
