Terrible Lag/FPS after latest patch?Follow

Since the latest patch came out FFXIV has been running terribly for me. My character will literally not move until 3 or 4 seconds after I have pressed a button. Prior to the patch my game was running fine. I have tried reinstalling the game completely and it made no difference, and when I'm not actually logged into the server (so, at the character screen) the game runs fine. In fact, when switching from the character screen to the server (Lindblum) the loading symbol starts stuttering once the music switches from lobby sounds to in game sounds. However, I don't think it's server lag because it has been an issue all day long. I was wondering if anybody might know what could be causing this?

As for computer specs:

Intel Core i7, 2.00 Ghz
8 GB of Ram
64 bit Windows Vista

I'm running the game on lowest settings too, so I seriously doubt its a hardware issue.

Thanks in advance

What video card are you using. Keep in mind, that they are continuously trying to optimize the graphics for everyone. You may want to see about updating your drivers, or possibly even rolling them back to an earlier version. Believe it or not, it helps sometimes.

After the latest patch, my character doesn't appear in the log in screen and after waiting long enough it would tell me that I am unable to connect to the world server..

Since the patch my frame rates are actually alot better, to the point of where i could go to a more populated server, set the game to windowed mode an bump my graphics up to the medium range. Had everything on high but that was giving me a lil fps trouble so i dropped it back down. I do how ever had some pretty long load times on some npcs an players once in a while. Actually got killed doing a quest while waiting for the mobs to show up.

since patch my game runs fine except the graphics seem a little glitchy.. and not as smooth as they were before the patch.

i thought it might just be me though.

Interesting. I tried logging in once tonight, but my graphics totally glitched out, so I figured I'd try again later in the weekend.

Same issue here. The game is notably more laggy and less responsive after the patch.

For some more information -- I ran rivatuner to see how many fps I was getting exactly, and I'm at 2-3 FPS after the patch. Prior to the patch I would guess I was around 40-60 FPS. Can't for the life of me figure out the cause.
