Here is my system info.

(Not good at adding screenshots as I am new to forums.)

As u can see I am using a high end laptop, I have all the options for graphics turned to Low or Lowest, character shadows off, my res fits my screen exactly (1280/800), sound turned off, i use an xbox 360 controller because the mouse response if even slower than the unbearably slow game itself, playing on full screen mode,

I don't know if I need to change multisampling but I have it set to no AA, and same with by buffer size and I have that set to resolution.

Any help peoplez? I really wanna play this game.. :(
I don't wanna have to buy a desktop or a ps3 and then wait for the game to come out for ps3.

Your system clearly does not have the power to run this game. Build a desktop or wait until PS3 release.

Maybe it's the gpu. 8400m GS sounds extremely weak to me. I'm currently running the game on a 9600M gt (which is comparable to a 8400 GT - not mobile version) and i'm really at borderline.

Laptops are strongly not recommended for FFXIV. They may play the game, but typically you're gonna find alot of downfalls to it. If anything I'd only recommend a laptop for travel play or when you can't play on standard desktop.

1: The CPU is far too slow and only handles 2 threads when this game can use 4.
2: Your ram, though sufficient in quantity, is probably too low in quality (speed) for a modern game such as this one.
3: And this is the biggest; the video card is not even remotely close to being able to handle this game. In outright processing power, the current best single gpu video card in existence has very literally 105 times the power of your video card. This is not an exaggeration. It is a direct calculation. The geforce gtx 480 is 105 times more powerful and still not capable of maxed out frames per second with all settings on the highest for this game. That's just to get you an idea of what you would actually want to have to play decently.

Okay thanks for the help, i am currently bidding on a high end desktop at the moment.
I thought something really wierd was up because this is a £1000 laptop, a dell extreme performance laptop, but im glad to find out it's not because of something I can't change without paying a lot more money.

Thanks for the help everyone :)
