I have 2 failed local leves, and one I just don't plan to travel to and complete. Does anyone know how long until these are removed from my log?

They're never removed actually, but replaced when you accept a new leve. You can choose to replace them when the leves reset in about 9 hours, 40 minutes from this post. Hint: Check the leve timer in the top right corner below the Home and Database on the forums here to see when it resets.

Local leves are removed from your journal when you use up all your materials without completing the required number of items, or by completing the required number of items and turning it in. There are no other ways to get a local leve off your journal. If you got the materials for the leve you're not planning to complete when it was issued, you can intentionally fail it. If you need to get the materials from the client, you won't be able to get it off your journal until you travel to it. Truly failed leves, as I said, are taken off your jounral. However, they aren't taken off your journal simply because it's become impossible to complete them; you must finish using up your materials.

I don't think you can change one that you started, but didn't finish however. So you'll need to make the trek to complete it, or have one less leve until you do.

Wrong. That's regional leves. Local leves work differently.

I've used up all my materials for leves, without completing them, and the leve is still in my log, has that actually worked for you or were you just guessing?

No, that's how it's always worked for me. In fact, it surprised me, because I was expecting to still have to talk to the client, but as soon as I used the last of my materials, the leve left my journal. I don't remember if I had gotten the leve that leve period, though. It might be that failed local leves won't leave your journal in the leve period they were issued in. You could check after leve refresh this evening to see if it's left. If that's not it, then I'm stumped.

Yeah, I've had these for the better part of a week now, I'm gonna contact a GM or something.

Hum. I'm remembering how it actually worked for me. I failed the leve, then talked to the client (like I said, I figured I needed to), but the client gave me no option for talking to him about the failed leve. It was then that I checked my journal and found the leve was gone. It doesn't seem likely, but it I suppose it's not impossible that you need to hit the client even though you don't get an option to talk to him about the leve.
