i'm in gridania and having a hard time finding anything other than really weak blues or really tough reds. i'm at level 10 thm/con. and yes the level 10 leves are there but after that what do i grind on? really sick of marmots and funguars.

just wondering if anybody has found a good general leveling guide for the starting cities/areas? searched 3 forums/sites and havent found anything really.

any advice is greatly appreciated. thanks.

Unfortunately, it seems all three cities are the same from what I have seen... either blue or reds, although it has been noted that the coloring seems to be faulty in another thread. You may have to head off the beaten path to find a good area, I haven't heard of one yet.

Give it 6 months and the info on the sites will be better.

Although just run around and you will find them.

bleh. posted here because was tired of running around like "oooh here is a squirrel, maybe it isn't too tough for a red... whack!" squirrel hits for you 805. dead. run back to other side of map and try there... ladybug 2 shots me.

i know in these games they have to recycle mob builds, but so soon? there is no logic behind having marmots you can 2 shot, then walking 1 min east and find "squirrels" that one shot you. at least they could make the tougher mobs physically LOOK like you arent supposed to even get near them, regardless of this color only con system.

I think you lose something important if you just follow guides right from get go. There's fun to be had in being a new player and getting whacked by whatever. You learn so much right?
Go out there and adventure, find your own way of levelling and if Gridania isn't for you go somewhere else. I get such a kick finding the perfect levelling spots or scouting for camps to level at in the future, it'd be such a waste to ditch that feeling and just follow some guide.

From 10-15 THM I went to Skull Valley in La Noscea and fought Roselings, Swarms, Puks, and Dodos.
