Is this lag, my connection, or my computer?Follow

I've been experiencing some issues with the game taking forever to load character models and even the environment. In the video below, you'll see me running out of Limsa and the ground pops in right before me.

I haven't been experiencing this until today. My load times when initially loading into the game also seem to have increased. I reformatted last night, but I also played last night after the reformat without noticing these issue.

So is this lag caused by the weekend rush, or is it something else? I'm a little concerned, as I don't typically associate the environment loading with lag. I use an SSD by the way.

EDIT: Whatever, taking movie down. I think it may be lag. It's like when you lag out in other games but you're still able to run but nothing ahead of you loads.

Environment loading is done client side for the most part, so I doubt it's server lag. I'd undo any recent system changes you made regarding your SSD.

I didn't really change anything, though. Other than lowering the page file I also updated the AHCI driver...I mean, none of this is different than how I previously had it. I set the page file back to system control and I might have noticed some sort of improvement...I don't really know yet. The only things I haven't done that I did before was disable some services to prevent so much writing to my SSD, but I don't think any of this should have an impact on my game.

My SSD seems fine. It loads my system fast. I haven't had any problems. I'm getting the same score on the FFXIV benchmark as I was previously. I'll try installing another game on it and seeing if it's ok.
