I remember when I was a broke little whm...

When I stumbled into Jeuno, I realized that whm don't need to farm like all the DD were doing. I can just start a /shout "Teleport mea" "Teleport Holla..." and I can made some decent income.

Plus, I get to know a lot of people that way.

Now in ffxiv, we use anima, I thought about offering rides to make some gils, but then that would mean I wouldn't have anima to go around for myself.

I miss being a taxi driver... I hope somehow we get to port with magic.

What do you guys think?

umm.... there are tele's aren't there? I see people shouting for them all the time. Our group memeber the other night tele'd us to UlDah but I don't recall anything being said about Anima.

Teleports and returns (unless you're dead) cost anima. So the group member who teleported you guys would have probably spent 4-6 anima depending on where you guys were at originally. Since the person initiating the teleport would have paid the anima, you didn't have to worry about it.

But, Trian, I'm with you on that. I miss the ability to teleport at whim, not to mention all the little conversations you'd get into as a taxi. I ended up gaining more than a couple friends that way. I miss the chats. I miss feeling useful. I miss the background noise of people just goofing off in Jeuno and Whitegate. Everyone is so quiet here now with people concentrating on crafting or gathering.

Gotcha, that kinda sucks then. I thought it was just a spell. So you can tele your group no matter what class you are or you have to be a DoM?

This, I really miss the background noise and other stuff. In FFXI you could make friends from out of no where. Shouting for help on a mission as a low level might get people your level our you might meet a higher level person willing to act as mentor. FFXIV seems so much more serious despite actually being less grindy and death has no penalty. Most people are nice but no one just has conversations.

You can teleport everyone in your party, no matter what class you are.
