Can a PS3 made FFXIV Account be able to login on a PC install of the game?

What I'm asking is, if I buy a PS3 version of the game, will I still be able to play it on a PC if say I login on the game installed PC of my friend?

Thank you

Interesting note about that I read in the FFXIV NA manual...

HOW DO I PLAY THE GAME ON A DIFFERENT PLATFORM?

If you would like to play FINAL FANTASY XIV on different platforms using the same account, you will need to add a registration code for the platform on which you would like to play the game.

Select Add a service account from the service account top page, enter your registration code, and then select the service account to which you would like to add the platform.

Short version: If you want to play FFXIV on the PS3 (PC users) you'll have to buy the software. Likewise if you want to play FFXIV on the PC (PS3 users) you'll have to buy the software there too. No torrenting or borrowing a friend's copy to install I'm afraid...

If you have the PC version, yes. But if you buy the PS3 version, no. At least that's what the info they added in the manual hints at. It's probably to try deterring people from buying an account on one version to use on the next, or to prevent "piracy". How many of us have downloaded and/or borrowed a friend's copy of FFXI so we could play on a different platform than from what we started on?

Well, by March at least. Not like I care, I'd only ever play on a PC (lol@mmos on consoles), but it's still a crappy move by SE to push more sales.

It will be like ffxi. For you to play ffxiv on your ps3 you need to buy a copy of the game for it. then logg in.

FFXI did not work this way. If you bought the ps2 version, you could play on the PC for free, all you had to do was obtain the client through whichever means you wanted. Now, SE is demanding you rebuy a new registration key just to be able to play on that platform.

I don't know they said you had to buy FFXI again but you never had to, my money is on just getting a copy of which ever you want it on (buying or borrowing of a friend) and trying to log in, might work might not, **** might even be like XBOX 360 and you need the disc to play.
