Arn't games supposed to be fun ? I mean sure a challenge is good and a reward in itself, and no one wants everything handed to them on a plate but FF14 takes away every fun part of current MMO's and gives you a nice looking game with very little content in return. I dont care what any of you hopefulls say, this game after the first day or two is not fun, your just in denial about a game you have soo much hope for, give it two months and you will also be bashing this "game".
Apart from the serious lack of choice or content the game is broken, it relies on a server full of level capped crafters to make whats needed, then after 6 months there wont be anything worth crafting thats still needed, it will already be in-game and being resold from player to player.
And to those who say it will get better in a few months, whats the chances that there going to add 200% more content, a redesigned UI, more armor and weapon sets, better party functions, vast reductions in server lag, streamlined crafting, recipe corrections that make sense and dont require end game crafters to make lv10 boots, inventory overhaul, and more without waiting for an expansion to milk more money from your first.
To sum up, this game is exactly what SE wanted, a 100% time sink, the longer you struggle to play and craft the more money SE make, but this time they have shot themselfs in the foot, sure there will always be diehards playing but most of the customers they could of had will never play this more than a month, what makes it worse is the game is such an insult the the FF series. Like alot of you I wanted to love this game, I tried but theres too many flaws, and with no way they can be fixed without a complete remake this is just another game for the worst 20 MMO's of all time list.
