I'm starting to see the fun...Follow

Joined a trio, did some leves, stabbed a load of monsters in the head, wandered round some places I'd never been before and got a bit scared of massive mudskippers...then I realised that I was enjoying myself more than I had up until now. Plus I ground out a decent amount of SP, which was nice...

Sure there's a lot needs fixing (AH, I'm talking about you now) but the fun is there, they've just hidden it quite well.

Get to the 3rd quest mission for your city and the story starts to get really good.

But they are adding a search feature, right...right? Currently Rank 19 so that story mission should be opening up soon. Looking forward to it and interested to see what all this Path Companion business is about!

I like it when games make it hard for you to have fun.

If they make it too fun, then you might actually expect it to be fun all the time.
Then they will have to keep making the game even funner which creates more work for them.

Lower everyone's expectations and then they will thank you for just being able to log on, walk around and hit a few things. That's the way to do it.

This game has a lot of potential. There is no denying that it could've benefited from another 3 months in beta or development. I am taking the time right now to level up crafting and gathering as those seem to be the most completed and bug-free areas of the game.

SE have said that an AH will be added.

ANd there is an AH in one of the cities (i saw it in beta) but it just wasnt open yet.

SE just wants to see how the economy develops in the early days.

I could have sworn I read this somewhere too. I was going to back someone else up on it a few days ago but I can't find the site again.

And if you would have spoken to the npc outside said location, you would have found out it was not a auction house :).
