Ok I've searched around and several people have the same problem I do, but I've met 0 success. I know people have uploaded the patches to megaupload, and filefront, but they seem to have been taken down.

I can't patch at all P2P is not allowed on the network I'm currently at direct download is my only hope. For whatever reason SE has gone with a swift fury and taken down patches people are hosting for direct download. (Why don't they host it themselves as an alternative! >< )

If any one can kindly help me out to either re-upload the recent 3 patches to some place so I can quickly grab them, it would be much appreciated!

Games wont patch with direct DL because of the bandwidth, they all use torrent.

But is it your ISP that is blocking torrents? Because theres a few ways you can get around that in your router settings to trick your ISP, Not gonna go into that on this site for obvious reasons, but you can search around and find out.

only option is to have a friend send it to you over chat program.

I don't know of any direct hosted versions of the patch.

I am constantly screwed by this torrent only download myself. Back when I played WoW I was really glad I could just ddl the patches by turning p2p off, every FFXIV patch that comes my way since beta has been nothing but a huge headache trying to find somewhere else to get it..

Best of luck out there by the way, my brother went to afghan then iraq and came back two years ago or so. Didn't sound like fun places to be x.x

All the patches comes with its own torrent file. Just exit FFXi goto

documents\my games\ffxi\downoads\ffxi\

in each of the folder there is a "metainfo" sub folder

the torrent file is in there. Just open it with your torrent client of choice and save the data to

documents\my games\ffxi\downoads\ffxi\

If you did it right it will download to the right spot. if not just copy the folder you downlodaed when its done to the right directory.

Then start FF14 and it will patch.

Kind of off topic, but I am replacing my current HDD with a SSD - will use the HDD for extra **** and the SSD will be used for OS and programs I want to load quicker (ie ffxiv) - can I just copy/paste the entire drive structure from old HDD to new SSD after I initially install the game onto the SSD (so that it will update the registry keys with new drive info)

torrent client of my choice doesnt help because none of them work a hoot on my net. Any torrent moves at snails pace at best. I've tried and tried and it seems like it just doesnt go over well with my network (using a friends it works fine). I wish they would give a simple direct download option like everyone else. Not all of us can effectively use p2p, or for some people in schools or such cant at all.
