Hello ZAM. I have just bought XIV tonight and it installed ok. I clicked on the icon to start the patching and i get a pop up saying windows has stopped working. i have uninstalled and tried 3 times now and it keeps happening. This is happening on my lap top, my desk top had no issues. Im using the ASUS G73 with windows 7. i know its not the system specs since its one of the best gaming lap tops out, any help would be really great. I looked and couldnt find any threads about this so forgive me if its been answered already. Thanks for your time.

Did you install DirectX 9 on your laptop? and PhysicX?

Not sure if FFXIV already installs those, I have them installed before I installed FFXIV

Sorry but what do you mean by crash report? it just says "Final Fantasy has stopped working" then it checks for a solution for a minute but never finds one. I feel like im missing something very obvious lol

when it crashes like that it posts a log in your event viewer that will have a fault module. You need to post that here. Instructions on how to find events can be found on google. Since its a g73 im assuming you have a ATI card. so that means your fault module is probably : Faulting module name: atiumdag.dll which means you need to peruse this thread for an answer.

Other faults You would just have to post up and maybe some help can be found. "Stopped Working" could literally mean a million things. TONS of people with laptops have been having the Atiumdag fault tho with ati cards and msvcrt.dll faults with nvidia. Commn problem there.
