LOL @ people that think SE listens to feedback.

Only bad press will get results with SE. If you had played FFXI for 8 years you would know this.
If you are so angry about their politics why don't you stay away from them then?, as far as you have stated you don't even play the game, but you are here still to unnecessary exaggerate every flaw (minor or mayor) this game has.

If you are looking to increase the game quality by complaining it, it won't happen, while I can't call you ignorant, you indeed lack of the basic manner to be taken seriously.

8 years of FFXI has shown that that the only thing that matters to SE is bad publicity.

Make no mistake, it was the bad publicity that spurred them to action not feedback.

Adjust the resolution of menus.
The main screen resolution for "FINAL FANTASY XI" is dependent on the "Overlay Graphics Resolution" setting.
If the Overlay Graphics Resolution is set higher than the Menu Resolution, menus will be automatically resized.

I thought of it first:

Will rephrase that for you:

Thank you Constructive Players (Who wrote down all the problems and not just moaned, cried and thank you Video game reviewing sites. We are all helping SE spot and Fix the glitches in the game so we can all enjoy!

Agreed, the one line "This game feels like an unfinished product" by every review pretty much got them in to action.

It's definitely bad publicity that's spurring them into action, because 90% of the complaints today were complaints in Beta that went unaddressed. They didn't acknowledge any of it until the reviews started coming out, and you can bet we wouldn't have seen another free month if it weren't for those, either.

What really irks me is that it didn't have to be this way. They could have fixed the issues in Beta, released the game to if not stellar at least passing reviews, and we would all be talking about the awesomeness of it all and laughing at people still playing WoW and Aion and any other game you can think of.

Instead of that, I am embarrassed that I recommended this to my friends in other games and caused them to waste money, and I should have known better from defending this company for years while playing XI. We aren't upset because we hate SE, we are upset because we love SE and just have to stand by while they make the same mistakes over and over and over.

Mark my words, they will address enough to get the reviews back up to about an 8, and then it will be the same thing over again with them ignoring us until FFXIV's next "18 hour Pandemonium Warden".

I hope they prove me wrong. I guess we'll see.

You obviously have no clue just how long you need to play every week on one class to hit fatigue. I've hit bonus experience every week since CE launch because I spend most of my time crafting and earn easily 30-50k xp/hour once I have mats in hand and enough shards to go nuts. For skill point fatigue, you need to basically play the game like it's a full time job before you run into issues.

You do your point disservice when you start making assumptions about others. That sounds about right when you put it in that perspective but that doesn't tell the full story. It takes about 8 hours to hit fatigue penalties and I'm aware how it gradually reduces the penalty. That's great for the variety of casual gamer that plays 2-3 hours each day. However, weekend warriors like myself will play 10 or so hours a day each day on the weekend. That averages out to be a roughly casual gamer but the timing is clumped. 1 casual gamer is fine, the other is impacted.

Either way, as a principle, the system either does nothing or it hurts its potential customers. I don't subsidize things that aren't fun.

And I've said it before but it obviously bears repeating: there will not be an AH added to XIV any time soon (if ever). People holding out hope for one are barking up the wrong tree.

Oh believe me, I'm not holding out anything resembling hope for this game or anything in it. The lack of an AH in this game is inexcusable for a new MMO. SE has championed far too many artificial time sinks in everything they make lately and what they've come up with is a big heaping pile of boring.
