You are helping to make the game better and it showing in the future updates SE has planned. Oh and all of the complaining also helped get us all another free month. Again good job complainers keep up the good work!

P.S. Fanboys have you thanked a complainer today?

There's a fine line between complaining and offering constructive criticism.

And just to note, I've been lumped into the "fanboy" term, but have been supporting the idea of a local market search in order to help the retainer system take off rather than have an AH put in.

I think there is a difference between complaining and constructive criticism.

MANY (but not all) complaining posts here really accomplished nothing besides annoying others.

But to the ones who provided well thought out complaints and criticism, thank you! :P

(also thank you reviewers for being overly harsh with your reviews and providing me with an additional free month)

You're welcome,

and thank you for saying this. Maybe now we can all realize that we were on the same side.
Rateup for a classy thread, but i'd change the title to "Thank you" and not "Congrats" cuz i was half expecting you to be an @#%^ about it.

I don't see how police, constructive criticism necessary helps. If you say "I love this game, I'm gonna keep playing, but I'd like to see X, Y, Z" what motivation does SE have to implement them?

If you say "This game is terribad because of X, Y, and Z and I am canceling after my free 30 days" that sends a pretty strong message - if you want $$$, make the changes.

Woah, what a spin you were able to put on things. If anything, I'd say "See you whiners? SE already had things planned out".

Complainers are like insecure girlfriends, they just need to hear how pretty they are (or in this case, oh baby, its gonna be okay, we have this planned for next month).

Fanboys?

As soon as a "REAL" post was made describing all the problems instead of RANT RANT RANT CRY CRY CRY MOAN MOAN MOAN. I immediately said "I agree with all these problems". And it was down more to the REVIEWS the game had got. As for the insults at the fan boys? grow up, seriously. I consider my self a fan boy as such and I didnt create thread after thread. SE doesnt pay attention to the little kid crying, SE pays attention to the real players/reviews.

No this thread isnt about me at all.

I was just showing a real world example of when criticism (and not always the constructive type) lead to a better place.

None of them shat up forums with , "WWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!! DUH HERPA DERP WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!" for weeks on end, especially forums that the people they were trying to get a message to didn't read.

But they did have huge protests where they were not wanted and they also famously caused a ruckus by not giving up their seats on a bus.

I'm sure the developers play their own game and realized the game's problems, I doubt threads posted on this forum played much of any role, pro or con. The bottom line is: The publisher agreed on a release date, they forced the developers to release it before it was ready, and now they are playing catch-up. What they are doing now is just admitting the truth: it wasnt ready for release.

Uh yes, they most certainly did whine. It was kind of sad, really. It was like they were expecting the second coming of WoW instead of the next FF MMO. But they were right on with the issues. I just know the reviewers all too well on the major gaming sites. They're all about WoW.

As we get closer to new goodies in store for us in the coming months...it will be interesting to know if the wow loving-FF bashing mmo elitist attitude wielding negative spouting know-it-alls, who poudly proclaimed their exit from the game(10 days fter release)...secretly hop back in the game and actually enjoy themselves.

Or are they too soiled and bitter to admit they kinda jumped the gun.

Absolutely correct.
This is true for customer service in general. If you don't complain, you don't get serviced.
On the other hand, if you make a big stink about it, you will almost always get your way. I'm not saying this is good. It's just the way it is.

Ask youself how all of these problems got through beta testing? Either all the beta testers were all useless fanboys or they did report the issues but SE didn't think they were serious. Why do you suppose they didn't think the issues were serious until paying customers started to complain? Because polite and constructive criticism doesn't get as much as attention as people threatening to take their business elsewhere.

this is all great news. the faithful will be rewarded. i have sent in countless complaints and feedbacks since the beta and 100% of my complaints have been acknowledged. never have i played a game that has even considered 20% of my problems at hand. but this is a big win for all of us who have offered constructive criticism and those who have been very vocal of their dislikes. maybe now we can all enjoy the game a bit more with hopes of a better game soon to come.

Indeed I agree, Those that rage quit have nothing to gain from not being patient, while the others are getting the benefits, i can bet those that said they've quit will silently crawl back to the game within the next few weeks, and those who have deleted their account are now without another free 30 days, how unfortunate for wanting everything handed on a plate right at the beining.

Should be expected with the way you set it up...especially the cute ending stab @ fanboys. Like there were people who thought the game was perfect and needed zero changes. So fanboys who also gave feeback and complained should be thanking the whiny ***** on here who made these forums unbearable the past month? Those obnoxious threads on here must've been the tipping point for SE to finally make some changes. Surely it wasn't all the other negativity and feedback from people who only want a better game as a thank you.

Thanks for the offer, but I'll have to pass...

I don't give the one line complainers credit.I didn't play beta but i bought the CE and it still felt like what the (free) beta player said. I think SE is trying to make up for that. Buuuut complaining to see if we get 90days free won't hurt. I wonder what the matrix sunglasses players will get ,it's been two weeks for them.

I am happy to thank the reviewers that took the time on the Feedback forums to talk about and discuss, and sure, even rant about the various things that really needed to be looked at. Heated as it got, at least it had the veneer of constructive and it was in the place where the developers said they'd be looking. For those guys and girls that continued to fight the good fight - thank you so much for the effort. It couldn't have been easy.

I'm not going to thank the complainers that made THIS board a mess for a month with the incessant grating whine, like human-sized mosquitoes. Not even going to pretend those yammerheads helped in the slightest or had any interest in helping. They were much, much too busy trying to suck the enjoyment right out of everything.

What did they want ME to do about it? I'm not a Square developer or owner. I can't fix anything. Neither is anybody else here, so what was posting threads about the state of this or that in the game going to solve, exactly? Is that not what the Feedback Forum is for, where Square said they were listening? Its stated purpose since ZAM is big and has the roar of a crowd?

So no, the complainers here in this area weren't in the least interested in helping. The aforementioned yammerheads just needed to roust up agreement among the oblivious masses to try to achieve some inner sense of validation and vindication. "My opinion counts!" they cry. "Listen to me! I'm unhappy!"

Dumping a pile of steaming frustration all over the General Forum, not once but several times and as many threads as possible, wasn't going to reach anybody that could fix anything. It wasn't "helping", which made it an ongoing vicious exercise in adult tantrums. If my dog did that, I'd either take him to the vet with a serious abdominal problem or we'd be in Obedience School until he learned socially acceptable manners. Here I don't have that option since, as far as I know, nobody is an actual dog with a bowel problem.

So, no, Mr. and/or Ms. OP. I don't think the complainers deserve an iota of thanks. Not a shred of it.

The beta testers did complain. They complained vociferously. The fanboys jumped on them, much like now. The fanboys did nothing but say yah great, It's only a beta. Yah great, go back to WoW. Then it was yah great they will fix everything at release, its only a beta. Go back to WoW its launch, all games have problems at launch, yah great they will fix it in the upcoming patches.

Guess what, I don't want a free month. I want to buy some frickin retainers and a searchable market ward.

Don't ever try to compare things you know nothing about, thanks.

I like when you jump right into the name calling it makes for more enjoyable posts. Thanks complainers!

I doubt it had anything to do with complainers or reviewers. It had to do with canceled accounts. If you hit them where it counts, in the pocketbook, you bet that they're going to respond.

Nah, it's more enjoyable to see you show everyone how ignorant you are by posting such nonsense.

Comparing your incessant whining to Martin Luther King... hilarious.

I apologize that the school system failed you.
