Hey everyone,
Just looking to see where I should be at this point.
I'm currently PL 17 and 12 Archer, and I've been doing the Levequests out of Gridania.
The highest level levequest the adventurer's guild gives me is level 10 from camp Emerald Moss and I noticed today that I received little to no skillups towards my archer.

So just wondering is there any level 15+ levequests I should be doing and where can I find them?

The next level of levequests available to you are R20. I personally left Gridania around R8 Archer to farm Sheep in Limsa. I'm still at Limsa now, grinding on Dodos and doing R10 leves, probably to R20. I only go back to Gridania for the main story mission.

I might have to go that route too. I'm currently 16 LNC in Grid, and finding it tough to do anything beyond leves. By the way, about what rank do you have to be to solo R20 leves? Cheers

I have no problem soloing -MOST- R20 leves at R20 (however I am a conjurer - squishy but able to nuke/AOE/ buff up nice). Before R18 or so I would say that only some of them will be doable for most folks solo. I suggest grouping up to do them. I started grouping on R20 leves pretty much as soon as they were avail.

Some leves are hard to even duo at R16 (wights, bandits, puks, imps) even on 1 star.

Thanks for the info. I'll grab some that aren't imps, try to solo them, and report back. Unfortunately for me grouping is an issue. I work days, wife works nights, and I have a 3 year old who constantly interrupts me when I play when the wife is at work :) I know I'd love to cash in on those higher gil and guild mark rewards that r20s give asap.

You could just accept a R20 leve on your higher class, and then switch over to Archer once you start the leve.

Only got to solo 1 of them, was 'foresting tranquil' where you have to kill marmots and squirrels. did it on 1 star and it was a breeze. Could easily have done that one on rank 2 or 3. Did some other ones with a friend in camp horizon. game dodos, imps and roselings/beetles. The only one that would have given me trouble solo was the roseling/beetle one, simply because there's so many of them. Though if I managed to get leg sweep off quick enough, I might have cut the numbers enough to do them. Either way seems like at least half of the level 20 leves I've seen, now and in open beta, can be solo'd by a r16 LNC at least.

Cheers

I'm R15 GLD (physical level 22) and I can easily solo all rank 20s. Sometimes it makes me wonder whether that numeric designation actually refers to physical level.

But yeah, other than leves, post-15 soloing in Gridania seems hard, as everywhere I go, mobs going all orange and red. Even yellow galagos can drop me every now and then.

Question: which city has more dodo yields, Limsa or Ul'dah? (I've briefly traveled through the latter, around drybone, but the dodo mob yield seems low.)

You know, GLD = Goldsmith, GLA = Gladiator. Anyway, if you travel to the pass leading to Broken Water from Drybone, you can find some camps of dodo around there. But it seems that once you kill all the Dodo, Cobber Coblyn will spawn instead and after the batches of Coblyn will be Dodo again. Another spot is south of the road leading to Gridania, opposite side of the Cactuar spawns.
