I was annoyed that like in FFXI, the flee effect is removed as soon as you attack or are attacked by an enemy. Which sometimes removed my flee before its full duration due to agro.

But just tonight, I left my shoes on while doing a levequest, and surprisingly found out that after a battle, if you didn't take the shoes off, the flee effect will resume after ~30 seconds of non-combat. The key is to not remove the shoes.

Once in a while you find something in the game that makes a refreshing amount of sense.

Another positive with this (as well as the Quickened status from DoL abilities), is that if you're on auto-run, you don't have to stop auto-run to have it work.

BTW to the tool that's been rating me down for harmless posts such as this one, the Admins have been watching my account since yesterday. Keep clicking the red arrow, just making it easier to weed you out.

You can also unequip and re-equip them and the duration will continue.

What I've noticed with the shoes is that once you put them on, the timer for your run speed counts down no matter what. Even if you take them off, it's still ticking away, so you could equip them 3 minutes at a time and spread your run speed out throughout the day.

I usually use them when I know I don't have much longer to play before I have to leave, and I'm trying to get things done in different camps/cities.
