I know the game is new and i had hoped nothing like this would have happened, but I feel I must warn everyone about this person.
I took part in a trade with Drake Weathers for some materials that I needed. I gave him 100,000 Gil in exchange for what seemed to be the materials I requested. Unfortunately, he placed ones that had a very similar graphic in the trade slot, but of a much lower value.
I admit, this was my fault as well, as I should have checked the item. But I wanted to let everyone know that they should steer clear of this person, as dishonesty is something that shouldn't be taken lightly in a Final Fantasy MMO. It lasts forever :-\

Drake Weathers is a nice guy and has been helpful to the FFXIV community since well before alpha. He's put in a lot of effort on the FFXIVCore website. Although I'm sure you're a trustworthy fellow, so no offense to you.
On an unrelated note, are you the same Palidor discussed at length in this thread?

I am Draconix/Drake Weathers to clarify things.
Thanks to those who stood up for me and thanks to those who brought this to my attention. Palidor is simply upset that I booted him from my linkshell, which he was NEVER was supposed to join in the first place.
I played with him on FFXI and I can attest to his childish character in numerous ways. Awhile back on facebook a friend of mine did a mass message of how much your worth crap, so people responded and Palidor aka Sean Murray was in that list and decided to spam our inbox for 2 weeks straight even after asking him to stop on numerous occassions.
After I booted him out, he has decided to go to various sites apparently and make up outlandish claims, which Bosnian can back me up on, those claims which never took place. I booted him in limsa and teleported back to Gridania to continue my mining.
He even messaged me on yahoo, saying
Spam ****** over and over then decided to hit below the belt by ending it with Sorvina is mine. The reason why that is below the belt is because Sorvina and I are seperated and divorce will be along shortly sad to say, which is one of the main reasons why I have hardly been online.

Palidor's infamous Skillz Tiamat MPK - As told by Finalwolf: I know before that event, hatred will building up between Palidor and Vade + Bane, mostly Palidor vs Bane.
what set the wheels into motion was one night, the enm static consisting of Vade, Bane, Asamibabe, Drashogar, Deadlier and Finalwolf were doing their rounds, had to farm sylvan stones in Newton. They went to the usual spot to farm, but Palidor was there killing mobs. So the static party pushed him aside and killed all the mobs.
Palidor got upset, asked us to move, Bane provoked Palidor with taunts. a small Vade vs Palidor fued happened.
so, Palidor disappeared for a while into the depths of Newton. about 10 minutes later Palidor comes running toward the static party with a huge train of moblins and bugbears, but his mpk attempt was thwarted.
ok, so later that week, Tiamat was up, as it was hardly camped at the time. Skillz assembled to kill, with 30+ members. Palidor comes to **** off and distract Bane, but being Bane, he was good at pissing off Palidor instead. Nightfall comes to Attowa, Palidor disappears. When Tiamat reached 8% hp, Palidor comes running back to the fight, with an army of scorpions, arch corses, cave antions + the trackers that link and died @ the feet of Tiamat. Hilarious and Chaos ensues, Skillz struggled to save alive, eventually wiped, ended with "Stun and CFH" by Lukeroybaljr to prevent Perfection from taking an easy kill.
Overall he is just a kid who doesnt have a life and has nothing better to do than do this kind of crap. Sorry anyone had to listen to this.
*NOTE*
No trade ever took place between Palidor and I, as soon as I heard where he was at I ported to Limsa and targeted him and booted him then ported back to Gridania.
*Side Note: SE needs to fix that, I really dont like having to hunt someone down to boot them.

Palidor is up to his usual tricks again, I guess you haven't grown up to much in the last two - three years.
You didn't want me finding out which server you were on Palidor, but you were dumb enough to post on Lindblum forums on KillingIfrit who and where you were. After I found this out I immediately informed Drake Weathers and it was located that you were in the same linkshell as him. What a surprise this was to find out you were in a linkshell from one of the more known players from Carbuncle.
Why would Drake trade with you after I had already warned him you were in his linkshell, knowing the reputation you had on Carbuncle for assholish moves like the one here? Don't get me wrong Palidor, I didn't have the most pristine of reputations on Carbuncle, hell you may remember me as "........", hahaha, like I am going to tell you for obvious reasons.
So hows that Graphical Design based job or whatever it was you were doing? If I am not mistaken it was a high end job you had, which involved not having much time for anything else. If I am not mistaken the last time I checked you had a LVL 25 based character within under a week since the game was released, I also dread to think what level your other jobs were because of the fatigue system. Oh and don't come back saying I had "Vacation Time" for the game, because it will trust prove how much of a childish nerd you really are.
