Game Slow connectionFollow

#1 Oct 17 2010 at 3:50 AM Rating: Decent

I need help with regards to the game connection and would appreciate your assistance. The issue is that the game is being slow, i getting traffic readings between 25 to 30 for sending and 100 and above for receiving. Im using broadband 8mbps download and 1mbps upload. I have test speed of my traffic and the result confirms it. Note that i dont do any downloads or consume bandwidth while playing the game. Im using GIGASET router 54Mbps Wirless.

I kept searching for answers to the below questions probably it would be why the game is responding slow mainly in the sending data / upload part.

- Can it be that the game requires higher broadband? I used to play FFXI with a 1 mbps broadband connection and it was superfast (sendind and receiving).

- Can it be that i dont have enough system resources to make the game fast? Note that i read the requirements and i could see any information that dont meet the game requirement. Im pasting the info below.

- Can it be because of the world im signed to (Istory)?, probably the connection to that server would be slow. I have confirmed the slow connection with another member in the same world. Any idea?

Im pasting my system information

Nvidia 9600M GT it's lower than the minimum spec required for the game. Just for your knowledge.

I don't get what's the problem you have, I think the game is extremely laggy for the most... What's your issue, beside "low" numbers on the connection checker? Are you having some pratical problems, or are you just reading those numbers and /panic?

Edit: Oh, and you need to update your drivers for your 9600M GT

The issue mainly is with the game response which has a delay when i initiate a command. Probably because the sending traffic is 35, im not sure if it should be higher. So when i do anything within the game it takes 1 or 2 second to respond.

So i cant confirm where the problem is? The connection, the server or the hardware im using...

Thanks for notifying me about the driver, i will update it.

If you have delay in basical stuff like running it's hardware. Your laptop should be able to run the game decently, just switch everything to minimum. You are really borderline.
