This isn't a whine or complaint, well atleast I don't think it is. My question is when it comes to setting up Bazaars and Retainers do ppl check others out before posting prices? I check everyone I see looking for a good deal before I make a purchase, but it's funny to me when i'm looking around and 3 ppl standing next to each other have the same item and 1 has it for 10k, next has it for 15k, and the next has it for 20k, its great for me it makes shopping for the lower prices better lol but I would like think ppl would pay more attention to other sales, in the long run it might help them make better sales for themselves. thx for listening

ffxiv.yg.com has a composite price that indicates cross server mean, median, and mode prices for items. I usually base my pricing off of that.

I base my initial price off of what people are selling for on yg and pro aswell as taking into account the people seeking items on pro.
After that set my price based on availability. The more people selling said item my cost will come down some.
The less people selling it the closer I will set it to the yg/pro average.

Sometimes I drastically lower prices because I have plentiful stock and just want to get rid of it all or I may be running low on inventory space causing me to have a firesale.

I try not to be too greedy.

My favorite are the people who just see the +1, 2 or 3 on items and price it like it's the rarest item on the server.

Because that marmot meat +1 is totally worth 10,000 gil.

My favorites are easily the bazzars/retainers which are seeking crystals/shards for $100 all while selling them for $500-1000^
I chuckle everytime. ;)

That's a lot of dollars! I need to meet that kind of RMT. You should take screenshots and post all over ZAM like properson did!

PS - This is a joke.
