Just FYI, most people aren't willing to give strangers their buddy pass. I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but buddy passes are actually good for the FULL version of the game. If someone gives you a buddy pass, you no longer need to buy the game, just pay the monthly. That's why BP's aren't too easy to get.

well the point of subscription is to make sure people like you who has the "full version" of the game can't just pirate your way into the game, ask a buddy for his buddy pass? its kinda in the game...

Since I've found it's a full account (I didn't know that until recently.) I'm planning to save it and use it for myself. From what I've been reading in the FFXIV manual, to play on any other platform you need to buy the game (And a code.) to do so. That means when the PS3 version comes out I'll have to use that version to link to my PC account so I can play on either system. Now, I can't be certain but I'm hoping the PS3 version comes with a Buddy Pass too. If so I might be able to use that pass on the Buddy Pass from the PC version as well. If I can't then no biggie. If I wanna dual I'll just use one on PC, main on PS3.

By the way, is it just the CE version that had the buddy key or both? I got the CE version but never checked to see if the SE one came with the key too.

I don't think you get the point of my post. Buddy passes aren't '30 day test run only', it's 'subscribe with a credit card and it's a full fledged account in addition to 60 free days'.

Consider that Buddy Pass is actually another full copy of game I guess you will have a hard time to get one for free.
But I guess it is against forum's rule if you r offering something.
