MND INT PIE and CraftingFollow

Have we figured out how MND, INT and PIE affects crafting yet. Also do we know if it varies by crafting class, i.e. Alchemy vs Smithing

Take a look at the list of abilities each crafting class gets. They all get one that "...increases the effect of <stat> on synthesis..." It stands to reason that the stat referenced by a particular class is the stat that class focuses on for the lion's share of its recipes, but we're so far away from being able to reliably test it right now that it's all just speculation.

Wow, you're good. I do find it odd that carpentry and leather don't have a stat boost for any of their abilities.

Well, there were originally eight stats, but two were removed.

Yeah I don't believe we can expect that the stat boosted by a crafting class ability can be counted on to be a favoured stat for the class. It is possible ... but I am not convinced. I mean my Con can get an ability that converts INT into strength ... that doesn't mean STR is a favoured class stat..... or my cook gets an ability which is "most effective for finished products" even though culinarian doesn't technically make "finished products" for the most part.... you see what I am saying?

That said I think that crafting gear makes a big difference for crafting. My hunch would be crafting stats would be lots of everything but Vit and Mind...

Given that numerous other parts of the game which seem fleshed out, aren't, it wouldn't surprise me that the stats don't affect crafting YET. For example, the deity, month, and date you select on character creation don't do anything yet, but the devs recently said they will eventually do something (though they aren't saying what yet).

So if blacksmith increases the effect of STR on crafting by 50%, and the current effect is 0, 50% of 0 is 0.
