How to make Synth MORE tedious!Follow

Below is a mild venting of my current frustration and possible blood pressure increase, not in the form of rhyme, but pseudo BASIC programming, which yes I am well aware would not work, but really, you want me to actually make a BASIC (STOS) program to rant, thats far to much effort and honestly I'd just opt for:

10 print "ARGHHHHH" : BOOM
20 goto 10

Square Enix, genius! Pure amazing chocobo spooking genius!

Your Mission, is to make 4 x Bone Rings, Accept?

10 Change Class to Goldsmith
20 Wait 10
21 Enter menu
22 Wait 10
23 Select Synth
24 Wait 20
30 Click on "Requested Items"
40 Wait 10
50 Choose "Leve" from list
60 Wait 5
70 Display Quest Card, Do you wish to Commence?
80 if a$="Commence" then goto 90 : Else goto 50
90 Wait 100
100 Choose "Hand" : if "Main" or "Off" success$=ran(0-100)
110 Wait 10
120 Choose Item you want to make, depsite the fact you're only meant to make the requested item.
130 Wait 5
140 Display screen which is utterly irrelivent when you're not actually going to recieve the item.
160 Display Screen "DID YOU KNOW THE ITEM YOU WANT TO MAKE IS THE ITEM YOU WANT TO MAKE, and USES THINGS, but doesn't as they've been provided!!"
170 Wait 400
180 launch synth subroutine : then goto 190
190 goto 30

Now if FF XIV was written in pseudo-not-working-basic would it not be simplier to simply go:

10 Click on "Requested Items"
20 Choose "Leve" from list
30 Display Quest Card, Do you wish to Commence?
40 Choose "yes" or "no"
50 Choose "main" or "sub" hand
60 initiate stupid synthing mini game
70 goto 60 until done : if done goto 10

You probably wrote this post faster than a typical synth.

All the confirmation screens while annoying make sense if you slow down to look at what your confirming. And if you use a controller you don't even notice them because you can simply double tap the confirmation button to agree to the confirm screen.

First you confirm the recepie you want to use.

Then you confirm the hand you want to use (which has saved me from using my main hand when I wanted off hand several dozens of times by now)

Then you confirm all of the above one last time, (which has also saved me from using my main hand when I wanted off hand several dozens of times by now)

They did mention they are looking to streamline some of this. I'm looking forward to see what they have in mind. The Basic code is still funny, 2 cookies.

you know those flash java games that make you press certain buttons to simulate walking and that you are lucky to take even a single step properly before falling over.

It could be like that. Now that would be something.
