ok so you have abilities that go with each class. now my question is about the action bar. when you switch from one class to another only the first action slot changes on its own, or seems that way to me. so is there something I'm missing on how to set it so I don't have to manually change things every time I say go from archer to botanist? You pretty much get no instruction in the manual and just have to stumble around till you figure things out in this game. thats really my biggest complaint about the whole game.

yeah, pretty much :(

hopefully someone will put up a link to a macro thread, but you're gonna want to make (or copy paste) macros to equip weapons to change your class and also re-equip the ability setup you had for it

there should be a link around here in the forums somewhere, i found a pretty good one and followed it:

but for example to switch to a conj it would look like this

/equip main "exact name of weapon with each first letter in caps and in these quotations"
/equip sub "same thing"

that's for your main and off hand

abilities look like this:

/eaction 2 "Cure"
/eaction 3 "Shock Spikes"
/eaction 4 "Stone Skin"

as far as I know you can't set an /eaction to 1 because that's where your basic attack skill goes

you get to the macro menu:
main menu (hit Home)
macro (towards the bottom)

once you set one up, all you have to do is hit Ctrl or Alt and the number you set it to and voila! instant (but really slow) class change

The easiest way to do this is to look at the name of the item in inventory and type it exactly. It is case sensitive >.< took me 10 minutes to figure that out.

I actually type out the macro in notepad then copy and paste it into the game. Much better than using the built in macro editor to type each line.

ug thats so much work, I'll figure that out tomorrow when I'm more awake. I'd like to put it to the developers and hope it will be something they'll fix in a patch.

Trust me, it's once you get it done it's SOOO much easier. . .
it's a TON more work to manually switch weapons and redo abilities every time =)
