Cause its 6PM in japan right now and my server has 1200 people logged in, which is way way down from the first couple of weeks when Lindblum had log in queues.

It's pretty much accepted the game is dying and losing players worldwide really quickly, people are either quitting outright or just not logging in at all to play something thats fun instead, JP or not. This game is as hated in Japan as it is here, I remember stating this would be a PSO > PSU situation all over again, but even PSU lasted better than this is. FFXI has way more players than 14 already and this was just released a month ago and is free..

PS3 release better be the most awesome release on the face of the planet or this game wont last past its first birthday with anything like a reasonable playerbase. Most games don't get 2nd chances, ps3 is that they best make the most of it.

Before long they might have to start artifically increasing server numbers from party search system for it not to look as embarassing as it actually is :/

I guess Lindblum doesn't have that many JPs? The server I'm in has a huge amount of JP and during JP prime time (5pm - 12am) the server is packed with them.

Honestly, it just seems like server numbers are down in general. I don't think my server (Saronia) even broke 2,000 during last weekend. The highest I saw during either prime NA or prime JP hours was around 1,780. Most of the time it was between 1,200-1,400.

I've wonder though, how is the lag? During prime-times and weekends (3,600 on Gysahl). I can't get anything done inside the adventurer's guild and/or the levescamp.

The lag still blows even when the numbers aren't all that high. I'm sure it's FAR worse for you though :(

I don't think there's ever been 3,600 people on at once on Saronia. Most I saw was 2,500 and that was right after the standard edition launched. An average "heavy population" evening for Saronia seems to be around 2,000-2,200.

I would assume people get on around 8pm. Usually people here get off work at 6pm, then the commute on the train might take some time (thats the main transportation here), by the time they sit down to play, its more than likely 7:30pm-8:00pm

Edit: typo

It's I think about 11:30 in Japan right now and ~2200 people on Trabia at the moment. Which is fairly typical this week, been on every morning since my job screwed me with nothing but closing shifts since I put in my noticeSmiley: lol

Off the top of my head.

JP time 6:00PM-12:00AM is roughly 3:30AM-10:30AM CST (+1 Hours EAST || -2 Hours WEST)

With my play hours starting at around 10pm-11pm PDT I start seeing JP text at the Leve Camps. Earlier, not so much.
