You need to purchase another set in order to repair them...but since you just purchased another set you have no need to repair them. What a conundrum.

Your local repair NPC can fix them while you are still wearing them, or you will have to purchase spares in order to fix them yourself/have them fixed. I just recently bought myself some spare undies, lol. Good luck!

Anyone know where I can buy elven undies in Ul'dah? I only found the midlander/lalafell ones. What I'd give for a Victoria's secret

But the new set will wear out too. The proper course of action is to buy the new set, put them on, and then repair the old set so that you have a fresh change when you wear out the new set.

You can't. You have to go to Gridania to get Elezen underwear (Miqo'te is also sold there, while Highlander and Roegadyn are found in Limsa Lominsa). Or you could craft your own, but those are fairly advanced synths, and the materials would probably cost more than what the vendor will sell the finished item to you for.

I think I've seen a NPC selling undies for elven in Gridania (in the middle of the map, north of the Carpenter's guild, inside the tunnel).

I'm more mad about no one finding the recipes for the next tier of undergarments yet. I wouldn't mind the underwear if it didn't come with only 5k durability.

What causes them to break or wear out?
bc my little lalafell has been eating some weird fruits and meats
as of late and the boat ride in to LL didn't help much

and I haven't found any toilette paper in game either . . .

and not to mention the dodo regurgitate has not helped his little complection
or armour and giant crabs spitting salt water and other stomach chunks . . .

Help my underwear i fear is beyond repair . . . .

Yeah but we have sooooo much extra space you can just save the first set after you repair it.

I've not actually done it, but you should be able to take the east-west road heading east and just follow it all the way to Gridania. Or you could hitch a ride with somebody teleporting there.

I don't know why they make us "wear" underwear in the first place. Whatever happened to being naked with underwear on like in XI? It takes up inventory space and I can't take it off. Wonderful.

I guess maybe it was to try and add in more possible gear combo's? I may be mistaken but I think we have more slots for gear available then we can actually equip, so maybe it's just to aid in gear diversity both stat wise and player appearance wise. That's my completely uneducated guess at least.

None of this would be an issue if the repair function weren't so horribly broken. >.<

They need to create different types of undies. Female characters can choose between granny panties, boy shorts, g-strings, or whatever those regular ones are and strapless, sports or regular bras, male characters choose boxers, briefs, boxer briefs, or banana hammocks and tee's, tanks, or wife beaters.

I really think the Elezen male undershirts are rather stupid, aren't they basically sleeves attached across the shoulders? Sounds like something that'd be worn in a bar where I'd have to have a name for my junk.

I remember one of the things they advertised on the official website was that you could choose different colors and materials for your undergarments. I thought it would be a part of character creation, but I guess you can craft them out of different materials? I've never seen anyone with silk undies on though, either way.

The dye system is pretty lame, you have to make the item with the color dye you want instead of doing it after the fact, plus according to a post above undies are a high level craft so put those two together and I doubt we'll see any underwear models walking around anywhere.

most of those are in game already they are just race restricted, I know Miq'ote have lace boyshorts and tank, elezen have a brazier and bikini panties with garters. not sure about the others.

I bought a new pair, they were exactly what I was wearing stats and all but white...

I've looked through recipes - apparently that's it right now, perhaps we'll be pleasantly surprised when recipes are implemented?

The reason underwear have durability and can be removed is they are actually an extra income source. You buy new ones for a nominal fee, wear them around until they reach 0 (ripe) durability and then you get new ones and sell the used ones to the shifty lalafel in the back alley... >.>

Since it doesn't seem to effect anything you could just let them sit at 1/xxxx until the end of time and stop worrying about them. (Speaking strictly of the under wear, you should get real equipment fixed)

Yes pikko but you couldn't change into more fashionable underwear in XI, Now you can!

My Underwear+1 loves to remind me how much more durable and better stats it is than my NQ newbie underwears. It also likes to remind me how cheap hempen fent is. In a few level I'll blow through a ton of hempen cloth and try to get myself some +3s halftop and pantalettes.

Plus the fact you'll be able to wear coloured underwear later (hey, NPC wear them!), or bikini tops/bottoms (if they ever add those) as underwear instead of body armor -- I'm not complaining at all at the decision to give it its own slot.

As for those saying they're high level crafts... They range from 15 to 20ish weaver and/or leather, which is not that hard to get.

And to those who are focused on this issue...

how much bonuses are you losing for having underwear with holes in them? Mind you, I didn't say how much of your dignity... I said bonuses :)

The underwear bonuses are negligible, and if that is the only pieces of armor damaged - and you are really upset about it - just don't repair it. It would have nigh zero impact on your performance. :)

I think the issue for me is having a permanently broken useless item makes it harder to see when I have a broken legitimate item - since the broken symbol just sits there all day long, this is why I mend them.

Perhaps I should just assume some of my gear is damaged all the time anyway - since if it isn't it's probably only a chop/stab/synth away.

SE put them in for the sake of the auto-translator. How else was Roegadyn supposed to ask a Miqo'te for her undies?

<Miqo'te> <Undergarments> <Can I have it?>
