Hi, I just start my FF14 and would like to know which skill is a needed or a must have in the long run.

I know some of them

4 cure
Restores HP of allies within area of effect.

8 Shock Spikes
Armors party members within area of effect with spikes of lightning, granting the ability to stun and deal lightning damage to attacking enemies.

4 Sacrifice
Heals a portion of HP and additional HP over time to party members within area of effect.

10 Punishing Barbs
Channel your pain to an enemy, redirecting a portion of damage dealt to you back to its source.

6 Second Wind
The thrill of battle exhilarates you, restoring HP.

6 Bloodbath
Revel in the blood of an enemy, converting a percentage of the damage dealt by your next successful attack into HP.

20 Fleet of Foot
Increases your movement speed by 20% while in active mode.

Anything else? plz advice

thanks in advance

I think sacrifice is worthwhile for a low level skill (THM 4) it is a cure/regen.

For crafting: Preserve (ALC 10) and Tender Touch (CRP 10)

When it comes to sitting around not doing anything for long periods of time, only being active for short windows, and marginal changes and sidegrades I'd say FFXI players were the perfect choice for politicians.

I might be odd (scratch that, I know I am) but I personally favor Masterpiece (Weaving 10). Granted it's only a chance to get better successes and only when you use bold synthesis but I've gotten more HQ results using it. I adore the skill even if I can't stand the profession.

Also, if you do any harvesting at all, I highly recommend getting Botany to 10 and 15 if you can invest the time to do so. Even if you want to focus on mining (I don't know if miner has equivalent skills?), I find that Field Mastery (10) (bonus to finding items while harvesting) and Stroke of Luck (15) (increased chance of finding rare items), are a joy to have, especially when I'm fishing. :P

I confirm that miner has the same line of ability as botanist
sharp vision lvl 10 helps you get items mopre easily
earthen favor lvl 15 increse chance of getting rarer drops
king yields lvl 25 increase chance of getting several of the same drop after a succesful dig (still be be tested more)

after that on the mark side, I suppose its pretty close too (some ability to favor cristal drop, some to not be detected by mobs ...)
