Is anyone else having trouble logging in? I click my character and it gets to the loading screen where it either loads infinitely and nothing happens or it gets a server error and times out after like 10 minutes.
Hmmm, there is an known issue where if you are playing in windowed mode it won't load. You just get a black screen after the square enix logo. Is this what you are getting?
If so, it can take several tries to log in, just shut the game down and try again.

No it's not after the SE logo. I see the logo where it takes me to the lobby, then I click play and that other little menu about paying attention to real life things, then I click my character. After that it goes to the loading screen. The music changes from the lobby music to the game music and I can hear the Aetheryte crystal noise cause I logged out right next to one, but the picture itself never loads.
Edit - Ok I finally got to the screen. the message says "FFXIV has encountered an error (30002) 1287772612,38577432,5"

Did you get DC'd or have the game crash on you before this logon problem.
Sounds similar to when I get DC'd or the game crashes, basically have to wait 5-10 minutes to log on as the "Server" hasn't realized my character has DC'd and needs logged out.
