I recently bought 2 Sphene rings (+5 vit). After equipping them I saw no difference to my max hp. First I thought it was because I'm only rank 27 and the rings are optimal rank 31. But my rank 31 friend confirmed that they had no effect on his character either. After looking through my gear and un-equipping/ re-equipping every piece of gear that has VIT on it. It's safe to say +VIT on gear does not raise max HP.

Is there a point to VIT on gear at this time? Is it broken or does it have another effect? Is this the case with other attributes such as MND and its effect on MP too? I didn't see any effect of higher vitality affecting defence either.

It could be that your base VIT is already above the point where you'd get more HP by raising it. Somewhere on the forums someone did a test for this, and there is definitely a diminishing return effect. You could try lowering your VIT by respeccing your attributes, and see if the VIT gear does anything then.

Are you at the VIT cap for your level? I think yes.

VIT on equipment AND traits ARE boken, that is a FACT I just checked.
I had 80 vit with equip and all, I redistributed because 3 * rank + starting stats said I should have 2 less vit.
However, when doing it, I ended up with less HP than I had before.
Then I unequipped driven by faith (converts 5 piety into 5 vitality), and my HP didn't move.

Now I'm wondering if the rest of the stats is working as it should.

Ill do a test later by lowering my vitality and equipping the rings.

The strange thing is, If I raise my vitality attribute my HP does go up.

I have tested. The VIT stat on Armor does not work....at last when it comes to altering HP. So there is not way to tell if the VIT + on gear does anything at all. I'll assume it raises my Pdef, but is there anyway to test this yet?
