I was wondering if anyone knows where to grab the
script that Zam uses for the Leve Reset Count down?

I'm trying to get my Clan's Admin to add this into our FFXIV section.

Thanks

You should probably ask the devs first before you go trying to use something that doesn't belong to you. A few of them put alot of time and effort into coding that not to have it just ripped and used elsewhere. If you wanna use a leve reset timer so badly, why not use the one made for the Windows Sidebar? Personally I love that one and have it on my desktop all the time.

I would PM an admin see if they would beable to get you in contact with the ppl that wrote the leve timer, and if you have any look remember to mention zam or the devs with the timer.

If you have no luck it would just be a simple 35hr countdown script on a loop, just make sure you start it at the right time to be accurate.

Or you could always use wint's desktop gadget, its awesome.

I think I worded this wrong. I was wondering if a script like this
has been posted somewhere. And people need to stop being so quick
on the attack without reading why I requested it...my gosh.

It's just something I want to try to implement if someone knows
if it has been posted before.

Thanks for the info though, I'll send a few messages.

The one I wrote is part of a large JS library I'd rather not hand out. I will pull out the leve reset timer and post it here though, that much shouldn't give away too many of my secrets Smiley: sly

I sent you a PM. On a related note, I don't think people were on the attack. Using a script like that is really infringing on the developer who wrote it. In doridorimonkey's defense, he already had asked me about it to get permission from the Zam site developers (they use PHP so it's really impossible to get the code without their permission), so in that regard it was an honest question.

Edit: Everyone is right, you should be using my gadget Smiley: nod

The windows gadget rocks. You ought to just have your buddy link the wiki on his site, and have everyone grab it.

If you can code and do timers then you know the reset time the reset timer should be elementary to make. 15 minutes of research on the internet would tell you how to make it actually time on the page even if you had never written a line of code in your life really. Then you just decide what method you want to use to actually make the page refesh so it is an active viewable timer.

If you really got stuck go to one of the forums where they make PBBG's They're sure to have 40 topics on how to show a countdown timer.

Yeah, unfortunately, I don't have too much experience with that.

I appreciate the info though, and Yes I am using a widget. :)
And No, I would not try to use someones script without
seeking permission first.
