So, there is no way to reselect is there? It was on Roegadyn and my controller got hit and it selected Yes. There was no option of "Are you sure".

Didnt SE say there was no way to reverse this? Thats ******* ******** if it is.

Seriously?

Far as I know there isn't. And of course that's the one place in the entire game that you don't get 10 redundant confirmation popups.

Yeah, I have to agree 10 times to throw away a sheepskin, but good god, have something gonna stick with you through the whole game and one bump sets it in stone.

For the number of people who have "accidents" while selecting their NPC, it wouldn't surprise me to see SE present the option to change it down the road.

I'm sure they will, just like they did with the npc fellow in XI. The question is just how long will it take, which really is anyone's guess. They have so many things to do, implement and fix that I wouldn't even want to hazard a guess.

This seems to be an epidemic.

I'm not even gonna breath through that cutscene. My hand is only touching the keyboard after I've internally confirmed 3 times what my next button press should be.

Seems like an awful lot of complaints about people choosing the wrong companions. Surely when it comes down to choosing them, you'd take a little more care and attention towards doing so, making an "Are you sure?" box a bit redundant. I can see the arguments for it, considering most of the UI itself requires 10 clicks to get anywhere, but surely this only affects a small number of players?

I'm sorry this affected you aversely, but it is funny that this is the one **** spot in the game without ARE YOU SURE? ARE YOU REALLY SURE? ARE YOU SURE YOU ARE REALLY SURE?

When it comes to sitting around not doing anything for long periods of time, only being active for short windows, and marginal changes and sidegrades I'd say FFXI players were the perfect choice for politicians.

whose to say. isnt that how movies & tv shows work. The character comes into contact with another character by chance, luck, fate, they dont like each other, but they have to work together & in the end, it was meant to be. MAYBE this will be you & your new NPC?

Seeing as how every one of them has a highly annoying personality, I'm guessing that's the idea.

Either that or they'll kill them off in the story. Well, I can dream.

This is exactly the kind of thing I think of when people complain about confirmation menus. For all the annoyances they provide, there's people somewhere who were helped or would've been helped by confirmation menus. This case or accidentally throwing somethin' important away amongst others...
