Abandoning Crafting Leve'sFollow

I am trying to do crafting leve's in Limsa Lominsa but I still have a leve left in Ul'dah that I really would not prefere to spend anima or time walking all the way back there to finish it so it can be removed from my log.

Can anyone confirm if there is a way to abandon a crafting leve without having to fail it to remove it from your journal?

they are "working on it"

AFAIK there is no way to abandon it.

I've noticed that some Local Leves (it seems the one's that are for a further away camp) will give you the materials at the Leve counter vs at the destination NPC. If you've gotten the materials, just change to that class, and (presumably?) fail all your attempts on the synth. That'll remove it from your journal.

Make like half of the items so you still get bonus SP/XP, then use rapid or bold all the way for the rest to intentionally fail the leve.

Alternatively, if you will be traveling to Ul'dah after the upcoming reset, just do the turn in then. It shouldn't count against your new set of 8 as long as you clear it out of your journal before picking up the 8th local leve.

EDIT: Pretty sure they changed it so that you receive the materials up front for all leves that are outside the city.
