I'm almost 18 and the levels are getting a little long to be soloing. Just wondering if some central hub has developed for getting a party? If not, I vote Bent Branch since it's the center of our current universe.

Depends on your server I guess, on Rab I've yet to find a recruiting party that wasn't Japanese. I'm not sure if English players are just uninterested in it or if they are just unaware of the party tool but that's the current state of things here.

/shout (party) (skill point) R22 GLA

I usualy get a couple replies. I play late at night midnight to like 4AM so I get a lot of non eglish parties

Start practicing with the Japanese in game text options, they are usualy friendly and I usualy use the

(ill follow you) text option so they know if they want to lead they can, i find they know all the good grind spots <:O

today most english players have already left the game due to the flawed design. even before (like 2 weeks ago) it was impossible to find a english party recruiting in the party recruit menu.

so good luck with that.

You can join a party from anywhere in the world, so long as people use the recruit and search system.

It really isn't easy at all.

I managed to recruit 10 people 22-27 last night, but 5 of them were from my linkshell. At that range we could take yarzon in Mistbeard cove.

Annoyingly though, most people in that level range are over at Camp Bloodshore. It took about an hour of shouting to get 5 others who were interested, one who joined as the party was set to recruit.

Very sucessful party in the end though and was well worth the hassle.

I was lucky to find people willing to wait a little while, patience is sadly a virture often lacking

1) Use the recruit system. If more people start to use it, it will be easier to party.

2) Sit around aetherites. If you need a party at Camp Bloodshore, sit around camp bloodshore and /t people / groups that pass by. Easier to do in dungeons

3) Join a leveling linkshell. They need parties as much as you need parties.

4) Share guildleves with people. If they do well, add them to your friends list. If they don't, no skin off your back, you can just redo the leve tomorrow.

Don't sit in town and /shout. The only thing you'll get is a bunch of crafters ****** off at you. I found a group around my level and have been leveling with them for the last 10 ranks. Core group of ~6 people, but we seem new faces every day, and people come and go.

I party so much I hardly have time for anything else like leves, crafting, quests, etc. They're all linkshell parties though... So my best advice is to try and find a good linkshell, make some friends, and help it grow with active players.

Failing that, I do see people here and there trying to form parties via shouts. Even if you don't join in linkshells with people, you might want to at least make friends with people you see around your lvl range.

It is so sad there haven't been many people using parties up to rank 20. You only formed them for rank 20 leves, recruiting at the camp. So in the first weeks whenever I tried searching for a party using the party recruitment system, I was bound to find none. That is, aside from a rare Japanese only one, which I didn't feel like joining at the time. So because I couldn't find parties with the system, I stopped checking the system for a long time and I can imagine many of the launch people are no longer checking either.

This changed for me yesterday though, cause a party leader forced me to join up trough the system, although he was standing right next to me in Ul'dah shouting for members. Really good of him to do it like that, forcing people to get their feet wet with the system. And to my surprise, when I went into the party search, I was also seeing 2 other parties recruiting at my level range, so I'm guessing the system is slowly gaining favor for party creation for at least beyond rank 20.

We ended up with a group of 4~6, people coming and leaving. The party leader also refreshed the recruitment part every now and then. We killed stuff accordingly to how the party was set up at any given time (ie without a tank or healer we wouldn't do crab, but focus on chaining squishy things. In the end killing EP fast may actually have given more sp/hour then doing crab also :P)

As time goes on and more people get into their 20ish and start using the system, I suppose I'll be joining more and more parties on a regular base now.

It's because NA people don't use the Recruit system not because everyone quit. I think the OP made that point quite obvious asking how to find a party. He does not uise the Recruit system.

I use it all the time and about 10% of the people joining my recruitment are NA. The rest are JP or European. It has always been like that even in closed/open Beta.

The Party tool is about useless and need a total overhaul. Its got no documentation and is not intuitive.

I would wager and probably win that not many people don't even know that it can be used to invite party members from anywhere in the world. And players can even invite themselves without the party leader even sending them a tell or knowing in advance.

The party building system is terrible but there is hope its called making friends. Joining a Ls and forming what we like to call a STATIC/SEMI-Static PT in the mmo universe.
