I'm at Cassiopeia hollow and can't find a party at all. The Sp is horrible when I do find one and party usually last an hour. So I've just been waiting for people to show up but it never happens. I'm starting to think not enough people play the game. I'm I doing something wrong, am I at the right place. I really don't want to quit game I've spent around $500 to play it. Sorry for the post just not sure what to do.

Go north of blood shore and fight the jellyfish, they are weaker than the ones in Cassiopeia hollow so you don't need to find a party.

go south and towards cedarwoods and fight fat dodos or puks ,but i feel you this game is made for crafters or se went just a little to heavy on the solo aspect because there is never a party trying to form unless ur lucky enough to have a good linkshell which are far and few between

better yet, make your own, and invite everyone else that doesnt like soloing. then you can have a LS full of people that hate soloing to party with.

as simple as this sounds, it's actually a great idea. I wouldn't mind joining a PT Linkshell as a matter of fact.

I'm about 22 and still solo, but I don't really have a lot of time to play.

I just do battle leve's and then find something to kill and kill a bunch of it. I will start grouping on the days that I have more time to play, but for now I am still progressing in my crafts and battle rank.

I highly doubt this to be true.

More realistic views would be to gain a level every 4 hours or every day of normal game play.

If he was close to Rank 21 to begin with, it's quite possible. Especially if you did leves right before reset, then did them again.

In which case would still make his post incorrect, its not a realistic view of what the average gamer should look for in terms of Rank gains. It also heavily depends on your class that you are ranking. I would not expect a gladiator to go from 20-22 in 4 hrs, its just unrealistic.

I can't really say. I don't really play any DoW/M classes. But I can take your word for it.

Wow.

This is the biggest issue that is bugging me.

OP i understand your issue and i have a solution for you, but what concerns me is that out of all the responses NO one has covered this, which explains why i am rank 30 lancer and all i ever see is rank 21's complaining. I guaranteed they have twice the playtime as me as well.

You can search for a party and join it without even consulting or the later OR create a party and RECRUIT members that you desire.

It is super easy and much better than ffxi party search system.

I always have a party formed within an hour or join one, remember keep the party within 3-4 levels like 22-26 and the more members the better sp gain, aim for about 8-10.

I gained 35k skillpoints last night in a 9 man party in 3 hours. Please utilize this system people stop beeing n00bs and party up and get some good skillpoint gains you don't need to solo everything it is such a simple system and i am saddened because not enough people utilize this tool and sit at rank 21 :(

I've been in countless teams and for some reason I actually rank up SLOWER than I do soloing. The only time I see any major SP increase is under Guardian's Aspect during a guildleve.

I have several issues with SP as it stands at the moment.

1) If they have this 'SP limiting' system which caps how quickly you can level up at any given stage then why do they also include the levelling curve style system of increased SP requirements every single rank? Since no one has apparently hit this limit, im curious as to whether the concept wasn't just a red herring.

2) Skill gains are too random in combat classes. I can go through a tough battle and barely gain even 100 SP or an easy fight and gain up to 300. If you were guaranteed at least a specific amount of SP per kill at least you'd have some measure of how long it would take you to rank up.

3) Disciples of the Hand and Land don't have any of these issues. Every successful craft or harvest around your rank or slightly higher grants you a sizeable amount of SP. You are always guaranteed SP, even on failed crafting or harvest attempts. Why can't they offer the same system to disciples of war as well?

I'm currently a rank 14 conjurer and I've been in a ton of party fights as well as done plenty of soloing. I find crafting more enjoyable at the moment because it's about the only class I can see some progression in. I was late starting weaver, and now it's as high a rank as my conjurer, despite the countless guildleves and squads I've fought in.

Needs some polishing. Hopefully it'll be looked at in the coming updates, otherwise the grind they so wished to avoid will persist like a bad cancer.

Unfortunately that's the problem, with classes such as Thaumaturge and Conjurer who, typically in party roles, are needed for focusing on support most of the time you won't see much skill-ups. Spamming anything other than Spirit Dart or Phantom Dart (That's THM's attack, right?) consumes too much MP which most parties or at least ones I've been with, would frown upon. With soloing you'll usually be spamming your weapon's attack constantly which nets you SP and since the only one who needs healing is you, it saves on MP.

EDIT: Should add that with Spirit Dart (20 CON here.) I've noticed I miss far more frequently than when I level my GLA (10 currently.) despite the fact my magical accuracy with CON is still higher than my phsyical as a GLA. 18 DEX, 56 PIE and melee attacks hit more than magical.

20-22 in 4 hours is totally possible for any class, you just need to be in the right party at the right place. 15 man party on the right mobs can easily achieve this as you can earn 12K an hour sp maybe more.

Dont believe this from a low post count guy - no problem. But I have just done 24-27 lancer in 2 evenings of parties

At low 20's with enough of u and a few healers you can start taking eft. Eft = let the good times roll :D
