My understanding is this is how it works. You get a class to 10, it becomes viable to get guild marks for that class. The classes used for guild marks in leve rewards are chosen randomly.

yes but they need a option where you can get normal gil insted of the marks. it limits the amount of leves i can do now just cause i leveled more then 1 class

(by limits i meen the gil from the leves not acual leves)

An interesting dilemma.
You can either cherrypick abilities from all classes and be screwed on guild tokens,
or you can cherrypick guild tokens and miss out on a lot of abilities. SE sure knows
how to be cruel, hahahaha!

switch to the class you get marks from start the leve then switch back to your class you want to play and you'll still get the marks.

no, you won't. I tested this already. I lvl my Thm when I'm grouped with my fiancee and my Conj when I'm solo. (I mix abilities obviously no matter which I'm playing). I tried switching to my Conj when I activated the quest, swtiched to Thm out in the field so I could actually fight and then switched back to claim the reward. If you try this, you WILL lose out on the marks completely and get almost no reward for the leve. You need to start, progress, and complete the leve as the appropriate class. I realize this doesn't make things better for the OP but I thought I should give you fair warning, that's already been tried.

No, you don't. My gf and I do leves together, and she's had leves where she started as a CON, and realized after the leve initiated that she had THM marks as a reward, so she switched and still received the THM marks at the end, so at the very least, you don't have to start as the correct job.

We haven't tried switching to the correct job after the aetheryte shard appears but before collecting reward, but we're assuming you need to be the correct job when the last objective is completed to get marks.

It divides guild points by how many mobs you kill on your required class.

Example. Reward is 1000 Pug points

Leve: Kill 5 Dodos

Scenario 1
You do the leve as a THM. you get 0 Pug Points.

Scenario 2
You kill 3 as THM, forgot to switch to the correct class so then you kill 2 as your PUG. You receive 400 Pug Points

Scenario 3
You switch to PUG, kill all 5 dodos. You receive 1000 Pug points.

Bottom line. You must be on the required rank during a kill to receive the points. It doesn't matter what class starts it.
This system sucks. I have to rely on my friends to help me complete my leves as my other classes are not high enough to solo. And I never get the points I am searching for. meh...

Something interesting, I have been checking leves every reset for pgl and after waiting about a week I finally got one in limsa, so I had so much anima from waiting I tele to uldah and get another one and discovering that uldah leves require you to kill alot more and tougher mobs gaining me double the SP as limsa rank 20 leves. I can solo limsa leves on 2 stars as pgl 14/32 but at 15 in Uldah could barely do 1 star but i got almost a full level in uldah. Went to gridinia got my third guild mark leve and those are about the middle difficulty. So in 8 leves i gained 1.5 levels from 15 to 16.5 and about 2500 Guildmarks. If the airships were in place this would be viable as I think I used about 36 anima for the teles but I wont be wasting my time in limsa anymore Im rebasing to uldah.
