A List of Crafting GearFollow

For those of you who like to work in spreadsheets and Excel, I've put together a list of all the gear with any type of crafting stats into an Excel spreadsheet. The information on the sheets come from a little of Zam and a little of YG.

While none of the information is new, and Zam (for example) already has a great database search option with filters, I put it all together in an Excel just so I could easily see it all.

For example... I was looking to upgrade my Armorer gear yesterday. I searched on Zam for body and put a "Magical Craftmanship >= 1" filter on. I found something I liked, but it didn't favor Weaver. I did the same search for Weaver.. and found something so-so.. but then found something else I preferred once I changed the filter from "Magical Craftmanship" to just "Craftsmanship". Then I had to make sure it favored Armorer still.. or if I preferred to get two different pieces.

Anyway, partially because I had some time to kill at work today, as I said in my first sentence, I've compiled all this information into an Excel for those who like working in Excel. Now, I can place a filter on Armorer/Weaver to see gear that favors both classes. Then I can sort (for example) by optimal rank or by "Magical Craftsmanship is not blank" to see my options.

Regardless, whether this list will likely prove useless for many people out there, I'm sharing it anyway for anyone who wants to take a look. I will update the information periodically as necessary (eg when more accurate recipe levels are known). If there are mistakes (eg typos), please let me know so I can correct them.

Google Docs allows users w/o Excel to view the spreadsheet, but does not allow many of the convenient spreadsheet features like filters. You can, however, copy/paste until Open Office or your other favorite Spreadsheet program if you want.

Thank you for this. I must admit to a certain amount of cluelessness about gear for crafting. This will definitely help me figure out what to work towards for making a set of crafting and gathering gear.

What is quite interesting is that certain stats are onyl found on certain gear like

Craftsmanship
Body
Legs

Magic Craftsmanship
Body
Head
Feet

Control
Head
Hands
Waist

Gathering
Body
Legs

Output
Hands
Feet
Waist

Perception
Head
Waist

Edit: Oh and the 'Head' tab, the classes aren't sorted into DoL and DoH like the other ones.

Yep, I made the same observations too. Also a few more detailed ones while populating the table.. like on body gear there's often a logical grouping of Blacksmith/Armorer/Goldsmith as the favored, with Weaving & LW being different groupings. Or that I think I see more LW favored gear with magical craftsmanship than Armorer favored gear (makes me wonder if LW has more magical craftsmanship required recipes?). Always some fun analysis you can do on your free time =)

Oh yeah, I forgot to re-sort that tab after inputting the data. Just fixed it.

Just for clarity, you should probably call this a list of crafting and harvesting gear, since you have gathering, output, and perception stats listed, and those are harvesting stats.

I can't see the spreadsheet from my current location due to firewalls and such, but quite a few pieces of the crafting gear double dips into gathering as well and it is good to note those in case you are trying to cover multiple bases. (I did an incomplete spreadsheet myself and noticed it that way as well...) Or are you saying he has a few pieces that are purely gathering stats and no crafting ones?

Re-read and it does seem like he is including both, so I agree with your assessment Ilmoran.

Thanks a ton. Tremendous work, and a good resource!

I added an "All" sheet with an extra column for "Type" (head, body, etc.), as well as a PivotTable sheet for those who like those kinds of things.
