having trouble leveling gladitorFollow

ok my level is 21 but my gladitor level is only 13. is really frustrating. it seems like the only thing i get skill points for are dodo's and if i go to the next highest area I cant kill anything.
Example. Camp drybone I kill everything within sec and get no real sword skill but if i go to camp horizon i get sword skill but die everytime because they kill me.

I had the same problem getting SP for my gladiator. So far, I've been able to do ok at the tougher camp. Since about rank 12, I've been taking all my leves at the 20 camps and attempting them with my gladiator. If I can pull it off, it works pretty well for SP, but if I'm too weak, I'll switch to my higher ranking CON to finish it. At first, I was only able to do one or two, but I've worked my rank up to 17 GLD now and can do most of them without having to switch.

If you don't have a higher ranking class, I would recommend learning which leves are the easier ones for the 20 camps and just signing up for those. Its a pain, but use your guardian on those and you'll eventually get past that terrible in-between spot you're at.

At lvl 13 dodo's are good exp ( im still soloing them as a 16 conj for about 100-200+ a kill)but you can also try lighting bugs in bloodshore caves (careful of bats spawning on you).

If not try to duo or trio some mobs around bloodshore like gaint crabs (trio) bloodshore bells (duo) or even duo sultans trumpets in the caves near horizen I soloed them from 16+ on marauder (you can do it earlier but the rate you kill them is not worth it) I duo'ed on similar lvl moles in bloodshore on my conj for good exp for a few lvls.

I've leveled 3 different classes, from 12-15, 100% on Lightning beetles near Bloodshore, one being Glad. 150-250 SP a kill and a ton of shards.

Bloodshore is the lvl 20 area in limsa any cave in near the entrance to the area will have lighting bugs and crabs can be found near the tower on the map. Id give you more info but im at work atm ill post the coordinates when im at home, unless someone else can do it.

Fastest SP before the 20s comes from not being picky about your targets. For around Drybone, if you were to add Thistletail Marmots and Copper Coblyns to your list of mobs to kill, you'd probably see a fairly dramatic increase in your SP/hour. You might have some fights yield no SP. Some might yield 50-100. And I've even had fights on "lesser" mobs that have yielded over 200. It's faster SP (and typically more fun) than running from dodo to dodo. You spend so much time running and looking for one specific type of mob that when you finally find it, if it's not huge SP you wind up disappointed. Slow and steady works wonders.

That or find a corner with good respawn and just go go go.

When it comes to sitting around not doing anything for long periods of time, only being active for short windows, and marginal changes and sidegrades I'd say FFXI players were the perfect choice for politicians.
