Just in case anyone who uses an Nvidia card isn't aware yet (I haven't seen any related topics) - Nvidia have released some updated drivers for some cards dated last week.
http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-uk (UK version)
The patch notes include the following:
•Increases performance vs. v260.89 drivers in the following PC games: Civilization V (SLI), Fallout 3, Final Fantasy XIV and F1 2010 (DX11).
Prior to today I was having to reboot my system every hour or so as the game would start slowing down until it was unplayable - today I anaged to play it for over 6 hrs without any performance issues whatsoever. I even managed to increase the game resolution a few notches without affecting overall performance.
My friend assumed his driver would be up to date as he was on Windows 7, but he had to manually download it from the site. I'm on XP. Although he noticed an improvement on his card, which is higher spec than mine, the improvement on my 9800 GT was jaw dropping.
To many of you this is either old news or irrelevant but maybe will help other people who either assume their drivers download automatically or just werent aware of the update. The version date should be 25/10/2010 - or thereabouts as I'm not writing this on that pc.
