DOES MAIN END IN 20M OR IN 1HR

Admin Edit: Closing thread. We don't need 3 discussions on there being no patch.

I've never seen someone so excited to tell someone they're so excited to play FFXIV at this time of night/morning ^^

..Then again, I've never seen someone tell someone they're excited to tell someone anything.

Good to see there's still people who camp forums while they wait on maintenance to end for FFXIV, means its still fun for many people, regardless of what the press monkeys say.

Well, it seems someone is randomly rating down any threads which shine a positive light on FFXIV at the moment, judging by how fast this thread earned a default. I humbly suggest anyone with the power to rectify this issue do so whenever an opportunity arises.

As of the time of this post, the OP has not been rated one way or another and out of the previous posts, only one has been rated down. Not sure what you're seeing here.

Done!

And yes, maintenance should end in about 5 minutes.

I personally saw the entirety of the thread beside my post drop from decent to default from the time I posted the first one to the time I posted the 2nd time. It may have just been a coincidence, of course. Thanks for the speedy response., Osarion.

In addition, I had rated them all up (aside from my own, for obvious reasons) prior to my post to bring them back to "decent."

P.S. I personally believe this thread may not have been typed out well or with much thought, however default and sub-d should be reserved for actual trolling attempts.

Final Edit. Make that 2 of the 3 others I rated up, apparently I missed the first one when I clicked it before. Silly me ^^; So I guess I was a bit incorrect, I had forgotten to rate one.

No patches, no updates on the Lodestone either, all it was is regular system maint. Maybe they had to take everything down for cleaning, defragmenting, or whatever maint is required for their server computers.

There was indeed no patch. Best guess is they did some server optimization at best.

I noticed they changed they text status.... after a battle it showed you what sp/exp you got and then the Items you received... Now its reversed so you dont have to scroll to see the sp/exp you received from battle.

I could be way off base but it seems they might have tweaked the sp point glitch.... once again I could be way wrong.

Good to know, and rated up from the default someone gave you...and someone else rated you up as well to "Good" at the same time (or it could just be that my "Up" was just that strong, not really sure how the rate system works beyond the first up or down). No idea why someone would have rated you down, as this information is quite helpful, unlike many threads as of late. Let's try not to turn this thread into some kind of perverse rate-war between invisible foes/allies.

I don't expect a "miracle" patch. I do, however, expect to see effort on their part in the form of SOMETHING besides more words.

Edit: And someone disable the rating system so Uryuu doesn't have a stroke worrying about it.

I want a miracle patch but at the same time I want a Moogle as a pet! Probably not gonna happen huh? I'm having faith we'll see some fixes soon. Now the rating system? My advice would be not to worry about it so much. I was kind of worried about it at first when I first started getting an average of "Good" ratings whenever I posted but all it took were some random rate downs in a different thread to drop it to "Decent" again. It's gone back up to "Good" again but just a matter of time before I post something that'll probably get rated down again. XD

*prays it doesn't start happening now that he's mentioned it*

Now what I find interesting is, why do you expect this "effort" to happen before they said it would happen? Late November is when they said they would show their efforts, why do you think we will get something now?

And another question: do you think this game is *so* buggy that they can't go a week without an update? We know the game's design is off and features are missing, but bugs? Bug fixes is what these updates consist of 90% of the time.

If you become good enough, you can gain a loyal base of followers rating you up all the time. But beware: the opposite may also happen, and I am a living proof of that.

Say the obvious things, agree with the majority.. that should take you far. Once you're guru you don't even need to argue with anyone anymore. You're automatically right.

They already told us when they're releasing the game-changing patches. Why is everyone still surprised when these aren't patches? Late November and Mid December are when the content patches are being released. There's no reason to expect SE to release them early.

Good post, I rated you up. I think people want SE to add a few little things here or there in these crucial weeks to help them or their friends keep intrest and to make them feel like SE is goning to live up to what they promised.

I totally understand the wishful thinking, I too was hoping to be surprised with something like inventory sort. But when it doesn't come I'm not going to rage out on the forums about how SE sucks and so on. If November comes and goes and there's no patch, then it's fair to get on their cases.

Not really sure why people are still disappointed by these weekly maintenances, it was obvious after the first week they're sitting on the patches to market the updates as overhauls of relaunches of the game. I mean they sent out an official news letter prominently advertising Item Sort, it's just comical. There's clearly no good reason that couldn't have been added weeks ago. With the title officially moving to Pay to Play status for the majority within days of the first update, I think any renewed interest is going to be minor. They have almost certainly lost far more players over the past 3 or 4 weeks (while sitting on critical patches) than they will gain back with pay to play updates. They could not have taken a worse approach to how they've handled this game so far IMO.
