Please, for the love of god, put your freaking retainer in the right ward. Seriously. I don't know what is wrong with you people... but just do it.

Aye, aye! *puts his retainer selling moko grass in the Battlecraft Ward*

Okay no, but seriously, I have been making an effort to sell in the right ward, even sometimes pulling out stuff that doesn't belong in that ward out of my retainer's bazaar before setting up shop. I don't sell as many items, but at least I'm not contributing to the placing stuff in the wrong wards, right?

Please, for the love of god, just give us an Auction House and ***** the **** Market Wards idea!

I'm sure some people will flame me for 'not giving the wards a chance' saying things like 'there's a search patch coming out' and 'SE said they will never give FFXIV an Auction House', but really I don't care. It's so frustrating to have to search through a gazillion retainers who aren't selling anything remotely related to the ward they are in.

I realise that at some point they might have had items which have now sold and it's not always the players fault because you only get one **** retainer at the moment, but it doesn't excuse the Market Wards for being a pile of @%^&!

Yea... I've noticed that alot, so much to the point that I actually go to the Clothier's wards when looking for pants, shoes, gloves, or a hat because that's where you're likely to find it. The jeweler's ward however seem pretty accurate. I can normally find rings, earrings, or neckwear around there pretty easily. Now weapons, that's another story. @_@

Why in the world would anyone put their retainer in a ward that gets almost no traffic? People put their retainers in the Battlecraft Ward because that's usually everyone's first stop. More people looking at your wares means more chances of it selling...

Jewelers ward ? How to i go there? Theres no such wards lol, i sell my ring in the battlewarfs.

differant citys will have differant names for there wards, and if im really stuck for something i just go to this site and look up the item, as long as you select the right server at the top, there will be a tab for people selling and there locations as well as recipe info and such. now this site isnt the most upto date with its items but its better than scouring person to person.

Well said pal. Though I doubt your post will have the desired effect. Perhaps a catchy limerick will help:

There was a final fantasy gamer,
Who employed a brand new retainer.
Selling a sword?
Use the right f*@%ing ward!
Seriously it's a no brainer.

Because if you morons would start standing in the right wards people would go there to look for stuff. If you aren't doing like it's meant to be done you are causing more and more of a problem. If I want a hat I don't expect to go to the freaking battle ward for it... At the same time if I want a DOW weapon I don't wanna spend 30 minutes looking through your marmot pelts and **** beads to find one. On Rabanastre 6 people out of a jam packed ward actually had a weapon the other day. Although an AH would be nice we don't need an AH as bad as we need less idiots. I think it's a pipe dream anyways at this point to hope for one.

You're trolling it up but for those who really think this.... Yes there is. The ward list has pages. The big word "Next" isn't just there for looks.

-_- click the word next when you access the 'teleport to a ward' menu. there are 3 pages of wards in each city. There most certainly /is/ a jewelers ward in gridania.

Lol please everyone listen to him!! I know sometimes it is not easy especially if you sell many different things but just dont sell gems and ores in the battlecraft row and dont sell woods and branches in the hatters row.... thats so...well in fact there are not really words for such a big amount of ignorance.

I'm in Gridania and there most certainly is a Jewelers ward. Here at zam website if you type in "Market Wards" in the search box you'll get the list of all the wards and what items have a discount in them.

I think the gear categorization is dumb. It makes much more sense to have 3 gear wards, Metal plate/chain armor, Leather armor, Cloth armor. All body slots would be in the same ward so you don't have to jump between 5 wards just to get a full set of gear. This would also increase traffic in them due to the consolidation from 5 to 3. Right now when I browse the legfitters or coblers wards I only see 1-3 retainers.

In fact, I think I'll go post this in feedback. :)

Not necessarily true.

If I'm looking for jewelry for example i'm going to the jeweler's ward first. If the item i want isnt there I will probably just find another option to obtain it outside of the market wards entirely. I would rather level the **** craft myself and make the item than spend 10 seconds in the battlecraft ward sifting through people's marmot meat, moko grass and whatever else that doesn't belong there. I'm certain i am not alone.

Also consider that most people in the battlecraft wards are looking for weapons, not whatever ward-inappropriate items youve placed there because the traffic is better. What good is traffic if its the WRONG traffic?

The battlecraft wards are so congested that most people who are looking for something particular simply avoid them. Why bother? It's more likely you'll just lose time than ever find what you want.

I'd be curious to see what would happen if they changed Battlecraft to Weaponcraft. Would people keep going with whatever the top couple of wards are? Would some follow Weaponcraft in hopes of getting people to go ahead and buy their non weapon items while looking for their next sword? Wonder how much the location on the list the plays or if it's more about the items being sold.

This is all about the people who intentionally place their retainers in the wrong places in hopes of their stuff selling.
