I guess most people using sword&board already realized, but it doesn't hurt to mention it anyway:
A few days ago shield proc rates for guard and Aegis Boon evidently have been like... halved?
I used to get a block for (almost) every incoming attack, now I get streaks of 3-4 block failures in a row.

Happy tanking!

holy crap. you're still playing?

I'm so amused I had to make a limerick...

There once was a gamer so angry
he had to rant here quite vilely,
but when he had time
there was nowhere to whine
so he went back to the game so blithely...

happy gaming!

Huh? I never said I don't like the game as a whole... just that it is, in many regards, a steaming pile of garbage.
That's something completely different ^.^/

Of course!
...no, wait, that's "differentiated opinion", not double standards.
There is whole limestone quarry filled with BS in this game.
But also a few shiny limestones.

But that wasn't my point. Is anyone else experiencing lowered block
rates, or is it just me (like: I didn't complain enough during the
last week, so SE threw me a bone)? ;)

Wrong. That WAS your point, Mr Post against the Glad forums.

Christ... Is anyone else that live lives that MUST not spew bullsh*t tired of this crap?

Hey man, I know why you *****, I know why you play... I'll be looking forward to your useful posts in the future. Honestly.

EDIT: I meant honestly in the sense that I think you're here to stay and will be posting relevant information when you get over your ****, eventually.

Huh? So you consider my OP offensive, I guess?
Now that I reread your last post, you surely sound like a
pretty unfriendly, easily angered guy? Are you that fed up
with the endless stream of complaints that gave you another
free month of playtime?

BTW, I experienced this on a Conjurer, not on a Gladiator...

I haven't seen this to the degree you're talking about, but I did see block failures recently. I'd never really noticed them before, but over the course of two back-to-back fights I had a string of failed blocks. It was the only time I'd seen it happen up until then, and I haven't seen a repeat since.

At the time I had been affected by -DEF debuffs that the mob (wisp-type) had cast. My impression was that it was affecting how much my shield could block. So while guard was going off, due to the debuff, the amount the proc was blocking was less than the penalty the debuff incurred, resulting in the block failing to block anything (hence failed block message).

edit: Woops, listed wrong debuff. Must get more sleep.

Oh! Oh! Yes, I was fighting Wisps, during those last days and today, too.
*Might* be a coincidence, since I *think* I experienced the same thing
with other types of enemies, too, but... If your guess is right indeed,
we'd have an interesting insight into how shield proc rate works! Very
interesting observation!

Crap. I might have misread this part:

Well, staff & board would have been more accurate.
Just sounded awkward.

It also would've been wrong. But I like you Rinsui, and that's why I'm giving you both barrels.

Again, I KNOW you will be posting cool awesome stuff come around, because I believe it takes a certain type of person to be as angry and articulate as you about a videogame.... and I am honestly looking forward to it in a totally non hostile, non threatening and willingly happy way. No anger whatsoever and if you felt that earlier, it was not the case.

Hope to converse with you then.
