It is energy efficient. It makes my video card run so hot that my heater in my apartment rarely kicks on.

*It isn't sarcasm if it is true.

I think that the graphics win hands-down .

If you have a decent computer with decent mid-range graphics card such as the 460GTX ,

the water in Gridania looks exhilarating.

The texture on the black Eft;s skin is omg.

The sky at LL is out of this world

I have a few things I like about FFXIV if I may.

I like the familiar races, spells/abilities, NPC models.
The game looks absolutely amazing.
I can use abilities from any level of a different class(considering that other class is the level required).
No XP penalty upon death.
I won't have to scrounge for Gil the first three months I play.
It's SE's flagship title.
I like the idea of leves for one reason and that is hopefully they use them as a sort of BCNM to prevent manipulation of certain item sales. ie: K Club and P Charm Or maybe they'll just make items like that rare/ex.

I haven't even played the game yet only a few more days until I do. I'm sure there will be other things that it don't like, but sometimes you just have to take the good with the bad.

my toon was so **** i had problems consentrating on playing :)
i usually didnt wear any armor either, so i could enjoy it more lol.
i love how you dont instantly start running in opposite direction, if you turn around, instead you dig your heels in, slow down, turn around, then start running, feels realistic.
It looks very gorgeous on highest settings, but i had 0,1-0,5fps doing that :)

its quite big maps, and you can spend your carreer in any one map i guess. or move to another map when you get bored.

I may have posted in this thread already - but partying today made me realize something I really like about the game - the fact that you don't need some mystical perfect party set up - and that when someone DCs or has to drop the party doesn't grind to a halt - you just keep going. It is pretty awesome.

I had to leave on pretty short notice today and I didn't feel bad at all. I didn't need to start searching for a replacement a half an hour ahead in order to preserve my reputation as a decent human. I didn't need to beg for forgiveness - I just said "hey I gotta drop now, gf is coming over." People made a few cracks - we killed a couple more crabs, and I logged off.

and sorry if I posted this list already:

-Stackable hides, ores, potions etc.
-separate tab for shards and crystals
-crafting system
-being able to craft for free with guildleves
-the fact that money is easy to come by and no longer a barrier for me
-being able to "achieve" something even if I can only log on for 45 minutes
-poisons being usable against mobs
-Alchemist <3
-gear equippable pretty much across the board
-gorgeous scenery
-fishing, botany and mining

When it comes to sitting around not doing anything for long periods of time, only being active for short windows, and marginal changes and sidegrades I'd say FFXI players were the perfect choice for politicians.
