* In the November 2010 version update, not only will the amount of anima required to Return be lowered from 2 units to 1, players will be also have the option to register up to three "favorite" locations to their Teleport list, halving the amount of anima required to travel to them.

Ok nice, But why didnt they say any thing about Chocobo? is it not in November?

I haven't heard anything about chocobos. I'm assuming they'll put them in at some point. Perhaps they view the world as being too small still.

I'd love to have a chocobo when I have to deliver to Bluefog or Broken Water. Squishy crafters don't stand up well to the birds.

The November update isn't going to do a whole lot in terms of transportation. The anima system is pure crap. It might be ok at lower levels, but once you start partying a lot, your gonna be using more and more anima to get to where your party is meeting up.

On the other hand they could just leave you to run everywhere all day every day. Be greatful, FFXI is what XIV will be compared to and the ANIMA system is far better then what XI had for a long time.

Accept in XI we had Chocobos by 20. And there was a central location, Jueno, in which a player could do a great number of things and still have instant access to said Chocobos. Plus the starter nations were equidistant from each other and Jueno. I feel bad for Limsa folks is Ishgard does become the new Jueno. . I'd gladly take Chocobos at this point over reduced anima costs.

The amount of time I spend in game running from point A to point B is in itself a grind. And the frickin fences and rocks on the road that keep impeeding me, really frustrates me. Maybe if there was a JUMP button, I wouldn't mind it so much.

I had no problem getting around in 11, I had chocobos and WHM teleports.

I agree. Usually I put my character on autorun when I have to go long distances, alt-tab to look at something else...only to find it running against some fence.

Good that they are reducing anima costs...although I'd much rather pay for teleportation....

As your friendly local alchemist I would suggest buying some sleeping potions. They have a pretty high success rate and give you enough time to run by before the mob wakes.

Not me. Now that I've gotten better at anima management I am usually hovering around 50+ anima at any time. Reduced anima costs will make it easier for me to travel more often, even faster... what good is a choco when I can go instantly? I'd much rather teleport if I am in a hurry, and if I am not in a hurry walking is not that bad.

I read the title on lodestone early this AM. I had a little palpation thinking just maybe they would talk about Chocobos or airships..........

Anyone else feel they are releasing the FAQ backwards?

1) market systems, anima & food
2) in depth synthesis
3) battle regimen and incapacitation
4) character creation
5) party based combat and guildleves
6) maps and things
7) more indepth synthesis
8) interactions menu & guildleves
9) bonus point allotment
10) getting around.

It should be:
1) character creation
2) bonus point allotment
3) interactions menu & guildleves
4) maps and things
5) getting around
6) party based combat and guildleves
7) battle regimens and incapacitation
8) market systems anima and food
9) indepth synth
10) more indepth synth.

It's like SE JP gave SE NA the booklet to create the updates but they forgot that JP flip their pages from left to right, so they started at the end of the booklet flippign from right to left. (kinda like that 1 nasa guy who programed in metric system when everyone else was using he imperial system and total botched that multi billion dollar mars landing)
